Replacing Windscreen Sealant

Hi guys,

Anyone knows how much is it to remove the windscreen, remove the sealant and apply a better sealant?

Coz the sealant on my car now will somehow become sticky and even drips when its hot outside..

It even get its way onto the windscreen and seat and its real messy..

Steering bias to left when accelerate

hi..

i'm driving a 1984 ford laser 1.3..

when i press on the accelerator, the steering will steer a bit to the left..

but when i release, it will straighten back and cause the car to swing to the right.

my car got power steering.. last time din notice this but after i send my car to do alignment, the mech told me.

as per my memory, it did not used to swing so much.. maybe juz a little..

anyone knows wats goin on with my car??

i was guessing that the power steering rack has a centering mechanism or somewhat like tat..

so when i did alignment, the steering was put in neutral position and the turnbuckle underneath the car was adjusted..

so now the the center of the steering rack is away from the neutral position of the wheels..

is this the cause??

Engine Transplant for Ford Laser '84

I have a Ford Laser 1.3 Manual as per the pic above and currently driving it to work everyday.

Everything is fine except tat i dont like its 1.3 carburetor engine. Its underpowered when fully loaded plus its acceleration sucks.

Rarely got ppl will modify this car as the later versions are more sporty. My salary hardly reach RM2k for fresh starters like me. SO i would prefer only max 1.6L engine with low fuel consumption and cheap and easily found spare parts. Plus the halfcut should not be sky high priced also.

My question is:

1) Is there any fuel injection engines that can be directly fitted into its chassis without modifying its mountings? FI would be more fuel efficient than carbs rite?

2) The popular B6 engine can be fitted it directly? Any1 knows the price of the halfcut + installation? If the cost is ok i would consider it also.

I am planning to buy a 500GB hdd.. however, i cant decide which brand to choose..

a few years back i bought a 160GB seagate sata hdd as tat time there were many bad comments bout WD..

however, since years had pass, WD is now producing gud hdd as well.. and their warranty are also 3 years if i am not mistaken.. same as seagate..

so i would seek some comments from the people here..

Few months ago i bought a mobo over lelong.com for a seller in Penang.. Its was a Gigabyte GA-EP31-DS3L Socket 775 Intel Processor Motherboard..

2 weeks b4 it had a ram slot problem and i need to send it back to the seller for warranty..

The seller told me they need to return it back to the distributor and request for another replacement..

Last week the seller said they r waiting a response from the distributor..

This afternoon i called them and ask bout the status and they said the distributor have no stock on hand so need to wait them to order from Taiwan..

She told me something bout "buffer" which i not quite understand..

So my question is cant they replace my unit wit the stocks in the sellers hand instead of waiting for the distributor to order??

Or thr is something fishy??

Btw, she said normally with stock availability it would take bout 2 weeks.. If without stock would be approx 2 weeks to 1 month from today..

I nvr rma any components b4 so i really dunno how the process is.. So pls advise me on this..

Enabling sharing option for drives and folders

i am using vista ultimate..

when u right click ur drives in My Computer, there is an option to SHARE that drive over the network. thru ad hoc or ethernet..

however i can't see mine thr.. this happened after i ran some optimisation program on the com..

now i cannot share that drive anymore..

so can any sifu tell me how to enable tat option to appear again in the list??
