Buyout failed

Latest update: I have escalated this to my new manager in Company B and showing all the screenshot that company B HR asked for the buyout amount during background check.
Finally my new manager able to fight for me which the buyout has been approved. (Happy ending )

Maybe I would like to put this thread on so other LYN members are aware the so called buyout exercise.

Hi Folks, im facing some issue would like to ask some advice.

I have tendered resignation with Company A and will serve 3 months notice period to join Company B.
Company B asked what's the 1 month buyout amount if they want to proceed.
Given the amount to company B and company B ask me to request the buyout letter from Company A so the HR can submit for approval
(Remark: when i request this buyout letter, i did mention it's subject for my new company approval)

days later...
Company B came back and said buyout not approved
I reverted this back to Company A and telling them i would like to serve full 3 months notice, Company A HR said cannot anymore because they have agreed the 1 month buyout and release official buyout letter.
Then I share the same thing back to Company B

Now no company want to absorb this 1 month buyout and I need to bear this myself

This is very unfair to me and i think Company B is not doing it correctly.
The HR should asked me to request a buyout PROPOSAL instead of buyout letter and Proposal is subject for approval but a letter is official and confirm.
Somemore if they requested buyout letter means they intend to proceed with internal approval budget. Not telling they want to know amount and submit for approval.

I think Company A is not the faulter here as they entertain to all my request (from company B).

Hence, please advise

Is banking domain good?

Currently i'm working in well known logistic company, and got an offer from an international bank.
But realized bank benefits are actually much much lesser than my current company.

Feel dilemma and not motivated to accept the offer.

Example:

Current company: Well known big MNC company with lots of benefits (Flexi claim, contractual bonus, medical coverage for dependents etc..)
Cons: hard to get promotion as its MNC, increment is less 3-5% per year

New offer: Start up company, less benefits but higher salary

CP38 deduction from LHDN

There was a CP 38 deduction on my Dec payroll and it was a separate deduction from the monthly tax deduction.
Checked with HR, they mentioned they received an instruction from LHDN to deduct a certain amount from my payroll for 10 months!

What could be the reason they issue this CP38 deduction? Every month there's already a standard tax deduction in my payroll. I wonder what makes me owe them money now.

Hi All, my apology if i post this in the wrong channel.

I have a UOB credit card and I failed to make the minimum payment hence it got terminated.
Total balance to fully settle is RM 1X k.

However due to the pandemic, i not able to make payment to this credit card since April this year and now UOB had proceed to file legal case on me and putting this garnishing order as well.
They now block all my bank accounts and try to transfer all the last bit money that i have to them.

I called them today, they said in order for the banks to transfer the balance of the money to them takes months as it involved legal department. Now i don't know what to do, i can't fully settle the amount.

Can someone advise please? I can't do anything at all, none of my online banking works now.

Can an employer delayed EPF payout to staff for more than 2 months?
My ex-company has not paying my epf since March. The last contribution was Feb.

*Update 20 May: Finally received all the EPF contribution for almost 3 months. Glad that they paid.

Questions about balance of Leave

Hi guys, I have a question to ask.
I have about balance of 4 days of Annual leave before I resigned and during the resignation handover, the HR told me I can't utilize the leave and will settled as encashment. (early June 2019)

Today, the HR sent an email to me saying that she made a mistake, as per company leave policy, there's no leave encashment policy and asked me to refund the $$ to the company.
For me, company don't have any leave encashment policy are totally fine, but why I can't utilize the balance of my leave? So I can leave early and start working somewhere else soon.
And i don't think I need to be responsible on this so called mis-communication at all right? If there's no leave encashment at all, the company should not even pay that out to me.

Please advise folks.

Balance of Annual Leave

Hi all Sifus, i would like to ask some advice on this scenario below:

I've tender a resignation letter on 15th Nov and my serving notice is only 1 month.
My leave balance is 15 days YTD.
But my superior required me to work as there's alot of handover stuff ongoing, so he said will pay my leave with cash.

So here comes the question:

My remaining 15 days will divided by number of working days = 22 days or calendar date 31 days?
I assumed 22 days because I can't apply any leave on Sat and Sun isn't it?

I asked the HR, they said will divided by 31 days as they said Sat and Sun are paid holidays.

Please advise
