Cut and Gain Muscle at same time

I am currently 61kg at the moment and about 20% in body fat (can see belly), not so sure bout the body fat % but soon will go for a proper test for a definite figure. I'm thinking of gaining 65-68kg by the end of the year and cut down my body fat to about 12-15%.

Is cutting down body fat and gaining muscle weight possible at the same time? I'm thinking of continuing doing my gym workout of about 3 days per week for muscle gain, and series of cardio exercise everyday for bout 15-30 minutes + treadmill before workout.

Any advice on this is kindly appreciated, thanks!

Seeking advice for home theatre system

Sincerely seeking for advice from you all on what are the good products out there for budget below RM 1,000.

Recently I saw AEON doing promotion on Philips HTD5540/98 for only RM600, with all the speakers and player included in the package, I find it quite attractive. But one thing I don't like is the appearance of their tall speaker. Sony's definitely look better in this case, but it's also more expensive and less performing in terms of sound quality (the salesperson demonstrated Philips and Sony for me).

I'm not so good in this field, hope to get input from you guys here.

FYI, I'm using Sony 50W800B LED TV, thanks.

Hankook V8 RS still in production?

I was planning to get new tyres for my car next week after compromising with the old tyres that were old, noisy and with a small bump on it for 3 months.

Did some survey on internet and discovered that Hankook V8 RS and Yokohama A-Drive have some very good feedback that fulfilled my requirement, provided that my size 165/55/14 is available for both of the models.

However I realized that reviews for Hankook V8 RS haven't been updated in recent years, so I was wondering if it is still available or not.

Lastly, please recommend some shops around Cheras/ KL area that have Hankook tyres in sale. Hankook V8 RS is my first option followed by Yokohama A-Drive, thanks.

Muscle workouts and cardio exercise for fat loss

Hey guys I wanna ask if I regularly go to the gym for workouts to gain bigger and stronger muscle at odd days(Mon, Wed and Fri), can I at the same time go for cardio exercises like treadmill on the even days(Tues, Thurs, Sat)?

FYI I am 19 years old male with 173cm at 57kg weight and have body fat percentage of approximately 16%. I have belly fats so I decided to go for treadmill for like 30mins regularly each day to loss the fats but at the same time don't want to make idling time for muscle growth.

To add on more info, I consume 70g of whey protein on my workout days and 625 calories, 25g protein mass gainer on the next day after workout day.

I wanna ask is doing combinations of workout and cardio acceptable and appropriate to achieve my desired goal- losing body fat and grow muscle?

Hopefully could get some answers from you experienced people here, thank you.

How should I plan my workout routine (1/3/5 basis)

Hi guys I am going to hit the gym very soon, planned the daily diet and supplement part and what's left now is the workout routine.

I plan to go to the gym on every non-consecutive days (Mon+Wed+Fri then Tues+Thurs+Sat), 3 days a week.

Now I have a question and would like to seek for advice here, should I be training same group of muscle, let's say chest on one workout day, then let it recover for few days and repeat again? Or is it better to train different group of muscles altogether in one day, like chest + bicep + abs etc?

** update:

Entering third week of workout tomorrow, so far progress is good.. Increased from 52.8kg to ~57.8kg today. However, my body appearance has no significant change than before.. hmm at least not so significant as I thought. I'm afraid that the weight that I gained actually goes into body fats like belly or such. So I have a question now, where can I get a body fat check up? I wish to know how much weight of my body actually consists of non-muscles and re-adjust my workout programmes for best result, thanks.

I'm 174cm, but with only 50kg of weight.

Hi people out there, I've been worried about this situation long time ago, and I always think of what else I can do to gain weight/ to grow stronger. Anyway today I decided to create a thread here as I know many of you are experienced in fitness topic, and I believe I can start doing something that will help myself after getting advices from you all today.

I'm 18 this year, my height is about 174cm and with 50kg of weight. My weight has never changed after my form 3 year. No idea but no matter how much I eat, I still looked the same.

The worst part is when I take off my cloth, I can see the "bone" both above my chest. It's not only I can see, I can even touch it because it's like just wrapped with a thin skin.

And for my waist, it's only 26"

Ok guys, I think that's what I could think of to describe my situation now. I really keen to learn and know more to change my body shape, but I was always clueless.

So people! Hopefully I can get some guidance and advice here, million thanks!!!

Currently my rig is still repairing in the technician centre, so today I connect my Acer 23' S231HL to my laptop using a VGA cable.

But when I set the resolution to 1920x 1020, which is the highest available in the list, the display starts to have some ghosting effect(like lines moving vertically)..

May I ask what is the problem? Graphic or monitor problem? Or I should do some settings?

Btw the laptop graphic is Mobile intel® 965 Express Chipset Family with 384MB only.

No sound after new installation of window

It was like this, I removed a faulty HDD from my old PC then inserted a new one and installed Windows XP on it.

After everything was done and boot to the window, I realised that there is NO SOUND at all.

I went to Control Panel and Sound and Audio Devices option, there stated No Audio Device. Hence I'm not able to do any adjustment to the volume controls or settings in it. It is totally disabled because an audio device wasn't detected in the first place.

So what should I do now?

I'm using Asus P5QPL-AM motherboard. I've tried to download the realtek audio driver from http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SOUND-CAR...ista-Win7.shtml , but it still doesn't make any change.

HELP!

I was using custom installation to upgrade from windows XP to 7. I boot with window CD, deleted previous XP installed drive and then began the installation process of Window 7.

Everything goes right until "Setup is preparing your computer for first use". I've been stucked at this stage for more than 2 hours.

I did few reinstallation, startup repair, and also the three commands that others suggest to use in command prompt to solve the problem.

QUOTE

bootrec /fixMBR
bootrec /fixBoot
bootrec /rebuildBCD

But unfortunately, the problem still remained unsolved!

What should I do now? It's so upset looking at the same screen for hours yet don't know what is actually going on.

PLEASE HELP!!!

Thanks. ><

* I'm using Core 2 Duo processor and Asus P5PQL-AM motherboard, installed Win XP earlier and was trying to custom install from XP to 7.

How do I setup Ethernet onboard LAN connection?

As titled, when I go to Control Panel and try to setup a new connection, I were rejected to do so because system says I've to install/ configure netword card blabla things first.

Although I'm using onboard LAN port, I still go to Device Manager and figured out the network driver wasn't installed properly.

I tried to Reinstall driver but failed to do so because system unable to find it.

Then I tried to go Asus support to download the LAN driver but it seems to be incompatible. A window pop out saying that after I inserted a NETWORK CARD the drive installation will complete successfully.

But the problem is I'm using onboard LAN port now, I even tried to go BIOS and enabled the LAN settings, but it still don't work!

What should I do now?

I'm using Core 2 Duo processor with Asus P5QPL-AM motherboard.

Hopefully I could get some help here, thank you

A solution came out to solve facebook lagness.

As most of you know, many of the facebook users suffered lagness when they're surfing facebook nowadays. However, I read a note post from a friend of mine about a solution to solve the lagness:

QUOTE

If you are having difficulty accessing facebook, this solution might work for you. Affected users only.
Why? this is because it is most likely caused by one of the hop servers at “facebook-10G.hkix.net [202.40.161.110]” which located at Hong Kong Internet Exchange.

Following the step-
1. My Computer
2. Local disk (C:)
3. Windows
4. System32
5. drivers
6. etc
7. Using Notepad to open "hosts"
8. Copy "203.106.85.66 www.facebook.com" to the blank below (Note: No included " ")
9. Click save and close the notepad. Reboot your internet browser
Problem was solved.
Tell me if your problem was not solved.
Share to your friends if it is work=)

1.1.1 How to Edit Hosts File
Open with notepad.

If you are getting errors…
Windows 7, if you are getting errors, go to Start –> Control Panel –> User Accounts
Click Change User Account Control Settings
Set to Never Notify.
Save Settings and Restart PC. Then you should be able to edit your hosts file.

** AFTER THIS PROCESS, IF YOU CANNOT UPLOAD PHOTO OR CLICK BUTTONS IN FACEBOOK, DELETE 203.106.85.66 www.facebook.com FROM THE FILE JUST NOW AND SAVE AGAIN!!!! ALL PROBLEM SOLVED....

I heard he says that the problem solved after he followed the steps.
But my question is: Will doing that actually harm or affect our privacy?

How do I actually upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7?

I tried to upgrade a computer with windows XP installed earlier to Windows 7, I did read some guide/tutorial on the internet to "CUSTOM" install Windows 7 during the installation.

I installed the new windows in Local Disk (D:) and when I boot up my PC, the old window files(XP) still in Local Disk (C:). Yes this is what I expected but when I tried to format disk C or delete all the files inside, I failed to do so. And whenever I boot up my PC, it will show a message to let me choose which windows(XP or 7) to boot.

So how do I actually "replace" windows XP to windows 7 and get rid of the boot up message and avoid unused files taking up my harddisk space?

Thanks a lot
