Business Card C&C

Hi guys,

I've recently designed a name card for myself, and would love some comments and critiques.

I am looking for something simple and classy, but here are a few questions I have after talking to some friends :

Is it necessary for one to reveal what you do, for example, for my case(as a concept artist) would you think it is practical if I preview some of my artwork on the name card itself?

Should I preview what I am capable of on my name card or leave the job to my portfolio or both?

Would really love to hear your opinions!

Project U92, 3D Animation Short Film 2010.

Project U92, is a secret administration contract to study the lone survivor of the previous nuclear war. The subject instead of being destroyed in the nuclear blast, was positioned perfectly in the eye of the blast vector, through some miracle managed to fuse his DNA with the uranium actinides. Upon detonation, emerged a new life form, that lives, breathes and regenerates uranium cells, creating an unending source of energy. But the president of the warring faction wasn't going let it go to waste, it is captured and being experiment on to uncover new ways to harness it's perpetual energy. This is a story about a power hungry tyrant, a desperate experiment and a tired old war veteran that is sick of them both.

This animation is produced by a team of 5 students, of The One Academy Communication and Design Malaysia. As our final project in our Diploma in Digital Animation course. The time taken to complete this task was roughly a year from pre production to post production.

Masters in Digital Animation / Arts in SG or Aus

Yeah, like the topic, I'm currently searching for a University in Singapore or Australia that offers a Masters degree in Animation. Anyone knows any good ones? I know most good animation schools are in USA and UK, but I can't really afford the living expenses there. =/

I've tried searching for some schools already, but I'm creating this topic if someone here knows of a good university or even better, is studying or has studied there before.

Creative Writing

Helping my sister find college as she just graduated from highschool and finished her SPM.

She's interested in Creative writing or something like writing for stories and etc like that. Not sure whether Journalism is the way to go as there aren't many colleges here which provides the specific course : Creative Writing or English Literature. Or at least they aren't particularly specialized in it. Few suggestions maybe?

I've searched the forum for something similar, only found Journalism though.

If possible she's trying to look for a local college/uni.

Image Corrupted / Unreadable

I just bought a Pentax k200d about 2 days ago, went for a college field trip to Melaka.

Well, I took about 750 pictures, and while browsing through them[both in the camera and computer], there were about 10 pictures which were unreadable / corrupted.

Does anyone know what might be the cause of this? For all the 750 pics, my camera settings were the same, and I am on manual focus, mainly on AV or M mode. Oh, and they are in jpeg format, highest quality and 10mp.

I've tried searching google, the only thing I could find is when they report unreadable / corrupted is with the RAW files. Tried searching in the forum here as well, but to no avail.

I've dug up some information on some softwares that would / could repair these corrupted pictures, and some say that it might be the SD card. My SD card is Adata - 4gb.

Any information on this is really really appreciated, thanks.

Hi all, just picked up photography. At first I wasn't very enthusiastic about it, but thanks to my photography class[I'm from The One Academy(TOA) mind you. ], from a little spark, it's somewhat a burning passion now.

I'm still a learner, so constructive C&Cs are welcomed, please do not flame. =)

All these pictures below, I used the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX01[Point and Shoot], which the manual functions are quite limited. I just got my hands on an SLR film camera, still learning how to properly function it. =/

Was playing pool with some buddies, there were 3 of us, so I figured when I wasn't playing, I'd take pictures.

This picture is taken in Tasik Kenyir, my friend was just chilling and enjoying the breeze, so I took of the reflection with him in it as the foreground.

Kenyir again, another buddy of mine was really good at balancing these things, all he had to say was, "It doesnt make sense, no matter what shape you pick, as long as you find the centre of gravity it'll balance."
