RM2.5k upgrade for my workstation rig

I'm had awkwardly upgrade my gear a tiny bit in the pass for casing, gpu and psu but now I wished to make a big upgrade that aim for 3d rendering workstation / gaming rig with the budget of RM2.5k

My Current Rig :

CM Storm Trooper

Intel 830 i7 Processor (Stock Fan)

Gigabyte Motherboard for the 830 i7 (forgot the actual model number)

Kingston 12GB 1333 Mhz Value RAM (2 x 4GB, 2 x 2GB)

Gigabyte GTX 570 OC GPU

Corsair AX850 850W Modular

Plextor 120 GB SSD

My current idea was to upgrade my processor/mobo (+ cooling system) as my main priority but I'm not sure picking i7 4790K (1150 Socket) or i7 4820K (2011 Socket), likewise I'm also not sure the RAM is still sufficient or should I upgrade it to a higher mhz, same goes to the GPU as well.

Secondly was building a stable OC system benefit for rendering and preview at Cinema 4D / After Effect besides gaming?

Glitches Screen of Death

Long story short, I have encounter a weird and random glitches screen when I'm doing my work.

The screen glitches cause the OS hanged even in the windows Safe Mode.

I have no idea why but I suspect it might be error from SSD?

I'm using MSI GT60 running with;

- Intel Core i7-3610QM
- Nvidia GTX675M
- Crucial M4 256GB SSD

Symptoms Before The Glitches Happen ever since I reformat; reinstall the Recovery disk on the SSD is the Google Chrome crash very oftenly.

I need someone help and to know, if this is cause by SSD will I able to save it by fixing firmware stuff or have to change a new one ?

Mobo Cannot Read Hard Disk + Boot OS

Today the lightning strike very hard and I'm having an electric tripped causing my CPU sudden shutdown, I immediate took out the socket quickly and wait until the rain and lightning finish.

After then I tried to on my PC to see that anything goes wrong, after a while everything looks fine, nothing damaged or something but only 1 problem which is the motherboard itself right now cannot detect all the hard disk expect DVD ROM, thus I cannot able to access through the OS ...

I quickly check for the Hard Disk to ensure is all my 2 Hard Disk damaged or not but it detected on my old PC so I assume right now is my mobo problem?

Right now I need to find out whether is the mobo is damaged or something (especially software part) is going wrong which can be fixed? I had try all the way to look out but still cant find out an answer

Hello there, I'm just curious about the interactive movie/video.

Normally we just watching movie and the storyline is fixed while interactive video/movie gives you the choice (something like choose your own adventure thingy) to choose multiple road scene and endings as well.

These interactive movies and video are actually being practice during the end of 1980's ~ 1990's on video games which it has a story that needs your decision to direct the right path or else you either lose the game (need to replay to get it right) or you will entered into a bad scene story path. These interactive video soon getting dull and less popular after the year of 2000 due to the inefficient development through video game platform and interest.

However these system is getting quite a trendy these days since the introduction of You Tube annotations tag and also the flash engine which allows buttons and also annotations tab overlay through the videos to create various type of interactions.

There are few types of interactive videos/movies:

On YouTube, the videos will having a starting point and then they will give you few option to select the scene. Some interactive videos will just show you bad endings (mostly the main character die or all people die) and then you need to repick the choice again. While some interactive video just give you continue and leading you to different ending scene.

Virus! .scr extension how to solve?

Guys I was really urgent that I getting the virus from the Indonesian .scr extension file

How to solve it? Really need a solution as tomorrow need to pass up my assignment ...

Road attitude on Malaysia?

I'm here to do some small research and try to understand that how actually special we are on Malaysia when comes for the road attitude?

The road attitude may state for driving, crossing the road and taking public transport like bus, do you think in our country has anything "special" in terms of behavior compare the others country.

So far I know that in driving like crossing red lights, seeing yellow light then boost your car directly, double park, triple park, ultra park and rampage park which certain country have but besides this anything that you feel is only happen to us in the road behavior? Not only can be negative but positive as well, just need your guys comment thank you.

Hi guys,

I'm need to buy another series of rig which was focusing on processing multiple work like on Adobe software.

What I need is simple(complicated BTW):

1) Can handle heavy loads of Adobe programs, video recording program and photo retouching program
2) Doesn't need a high end GC for gaming purpose instead for these kind of design working purpose
3) In my mind, Intel Core i7 860 or Core i5 750 system
4) Power up as much ram as possible
5) Need a 7200rpm++ HDD and prefer Seagate/Maxtor brand
6) Need a good cooling system
7) Budget around RM2500~RM2700

Hello guys wanna ask that ...

I have the CPU running with Geforce 8500GT and Intel Duo Core system together with a-bit mobo for 3 years ...

now my CPU starts to get very noisy on the fan and the mobo looks damaged last week and also keep overheat just in 15minutes until yesterday it corrupts

so any suggestion for replacement for the processors and mobo? For this rig I was much concentrate of doing photo editing and running with many adobe workstation, likewise do adding extras ram was preferable for new mobo?

What am I looking was the Intel i3 built up and my upgrade budget was RM1000++ (just for mobo and processor and ram)
