Dlink 1248T Network Switch

Hi all,

I have a question regarding Dlink 1248T network switch.
I plan to upgrade my office network to using Gigabit switch.
Overhere, i have around 100+ desktop. And at the moment, i'm still using 10base mix with 100base. I plan to buy around 5 of the switches.
This switch have on Fiber module as uplink port. My question is, is it ok to use normal port and make it as uplink port using RJ45?
I heard from a friend, using normal port as uplink port can cause network not stable, but AFAIK, that if using normal switch. The Dlink 1248 is smart switch( is it much different?)

S-VIDEO Output to Panasonic LCD TV

Hi

I connect my Nvidia 8400GS to Panasonic TX32LE8M LCD TV. however, the screen is too blur. I change the resolution but only available for SAMSUNG LCD not for TV output. THe connection type is S-Video. There is a reasonw why i'm using Svideo. I need to convert S-VIDEO to RCA and then convert to RF output using modulator. That is the connection for the TV. I'm going to display a Power Point presentation using it. It is actually at Hotel.

Please somebody help..

Computer not boot up with DDR2 800Mhz

Hi

I'm having problem with my desktop. When i replace the ram with Mushkin 1GB 800Mhz DDR 2 RAM, the PC wont boot up and there are beeping sound coming out(no ram detected). I'm using HP DX2700 PC. THe ram has been tested on other computer and it work.
And the PC work fine when i add back the original RAM which is HYNIX 512MB DDR2.

Please assist.

Hi

I have Asus M2n68 AM2 motherboard. The problem with this mobo is every time i power off plug, i need to set back the clock in BIOS. I already change the battery few time. Does anybody ever facing this same problem? Anyway to fix it or to check whether mobo faulty?

I need help

I got 2 Streamyx lines. 1 is fix ip and 1 is dynamic ip.

I got a load balancer in between 2 modems and WIFI billing system.
WIFI billing system will connect to network switch and then to all WIFI AP.
Now my question is, how to i set to able me access the WIFI Billing system from external? Just want to check in case it working or not?

Hi

I want to ask, if anybody ever use palit aa-780g Motherboard with RM 50 power supply? The system wont be cramp with hardware, just 1 Hard disk, 1 DVD-RW, RAMs and AMD 64LE processor. I have very small budget to upgrade my PC. So, Cant buy RM 1XX power supply..

I having a problem with compaq f762au sound driver. I installed SP33566(microsoft uaa driver). But when i want to install Conexant, it cant found audio driver. when i check hardware properties, i found Windows XP detect 2 UAA hardware. 1 with exclamation sign. Please refer to the attach file.

Hi all

I need your help. I plan to make RAID on my system. Buy, after check with the hardware manufacturer, they inform me that the maximum hard disk space supported is 500GB. If i'm using SATA 2 RAID card which can support 1TB hard disk, does it mean i can use 1TB hard disk to my PC as RAID?
One more thing, can you propose any good SATA 2 Raid card which I can use for my Dell Dimension E520 System. I have PCI,PCI-E 1 and PCI-E 16 slot. I need for RAID 0.

Anybody use Asus F5RL notebook? I found in lowyat today, it just cost RM 2999 and with additional RM 1, i entitle for 4GB ram upgrade. I found this is very intresting, but need to know ppl opinions first. The design look quite old and it come with FreeDOS.

I;m using 3g as my source to internet.It is on my notebook. there are 2 PCs behind the notebook, which cant access windows update. It in on Windows xp and windows 2003. The notebook itself can access windows update. When i click windows update IE shortcut, it said "website found" but it display nothing. After 2 or 3 minute, it will display "the page cant be connect" . Anybody know how to fix it> the 2 pcs can access to other website.

I got a problem. Need help from u all. Here is my WIFI setup.

From main network switch connect to AP and then i want to connect to WIFI Router(Level One WBR 3405TX) because the Router have 4 ports switch. Now my question is on the Router setup, should i set it as Access Point or what? The router will connect to 4 PCs.
