Grundfos pump - slow to activate

Hi fellow LYN sifus, I'm seeking for some advice on regarding my water pump.

I have a Grundfos PM1 water pump, not 100% sure but below is the only photo I have of it for now.

I tried to match it with photos online to the best of my ability. Do let me know if it's actually a different model

Issue:
The water pump usually kicks in after about 1-2 seconds, but lately it takes upwards of 10 seconds to kick in. Not always - just sometimes but enough to be noticeable throughout the day.

Question:
1. Is this usually salvagable? Trying to learn more before I climb up to look as I'd have to borrow a ladder or rig something OSHA wouldn't approve of to get up
2. A blockage/controller issue?
3. For water pumps, what sort of maintenance work should one be mindful of to prolong it's lifespan and keep it working well? Lubrication of some sorts? Or cleaning filters for it?

G20 330i questions

Hey sifus - looking for some advice for G20 330i here.

1. Do you use paint protection film (PPF)? Do you find them useful?
2. Using Bimmercode w/ OBD tool to change settings such as default starting mode, disabling auto start/stop, air circulating mode etc., anyone done it before? Worries about warranty/service?
3. Found the audio system to be pretty lacking, thoughts about retrofitting the B&W speaker set? I see some shops in kota damansara offering it.
4. Similarly, for retrofit of active cruise control to help with traffic jam times. Anyone used it before?
5. Any general car care tips? Very much appreciated!

Hopefully my list of questions are similar to some others and can be helpful to other fellow drivers too

6. Has anyone gotten iPhones to work with the car for screen mirroring?
7. If not, Apple Carplay - is it worth the money? I actually just want to use Waze haha
8. Does the car automatically brake for me in bumper-to-bumper drive conditions (eg. traffic jam) and I accidentally let go of my brake pedal?

Paint chipping off, need advice

Hi sifus, got some questions regarding my cars paint. Car was stolen and got into accident, got the car back and insurance covered the paint job for my car's engine hood. However, we quickly realized the paint job seems to be very... thin? Doesn't last and chips away easily.

- black spots above are where paint has chipped off
- grey spots (right side) is where I have used a touch-up paint tool sold to me by Tan Chong (it turns grey as you can see)
- there's a lot of those black spots, and even more of those grey ones where I have touched up over the years.

Some questions:
1. Is this normal for white cars? First ever white car in my family. Suspect insurance cheap out and did some really bad paint job
2. If not, I'd like to send the hood only for repainting. It's a nissan sylphy 2011, what would I need to get the original color back?
3. What do I need to know to get a good quality paint job on my hood?

Migrating an e-commerce site

Hi sifus, currently I have a ecommerce site running Magento. Would like to proceed to upgrade to Magento 2 and at the same time, use a different web provider. My knowledge is limited so after doing some research around, I found these to be the steps:

1. Decide on Web Hosting Provider
2. Decide on Magento 2 Theme provider (The theme that came along with Magento 2, I tried but couldn't do anything with it)
3. Decide on what's needed - eg. Installation, data migration of products and customers data, setup, SEO, optimization

I'm wondering if I'm missing anything from there?

Also, while on this topic, if I simply want to make a catalogue (no on-site e-commerce) of my products and link it to Lazada/Shopee, is Magento 2 still a good choice, or would I be better off using a different system?

Installing Exhaust Fan

Hi all sifus here, looking for some advice regarding exhaust fan installation.

My aim is to help improve air circulation on my upstairs area. It has 3 rooms and one area in the center with a higher ceiling, which as I understand it allows hot air to escape through it and is one of the ways air gets circulated through the house.

What I want to do is to install an exhaust fan up there, something like this Exhaust fan from Lazada.) I think I will be able to DIY the installation. Hopefully this will help improve their overall air circulation upstairs, which can get quite stuffy during mid-day.

Just wondering:

1. If it's practical at all.
2. If it's possible to install directly onto the grill without removing anything.

Vacuum line Question

Hi sifus, I have 2 questions regarding a vacuum line (in the red square) on my car (Nissan Sentra B14):

1. Somehow, the line is pinched very badly when the car is idle at the side nearer to the engine and causes a lot of vibration which is very, very audible even from inside the car.

Do I just change the line, or could this be an indicator of a larger issue?

2. Also, the purple 90-degree plug/joint isn't a really tight fit on the engine. I can wiggle it a little + its easily pulled out - is this intended or should I look for a different plug that fits better? I'm worried about vacuum leaks.

Several problems with car

Hello all sifus!

Trying to troubleshoot my own car right now... has a few problems here and there. Would love to get some tips on where and what to look at! Driving a Nissan Sentra B14 myself here.

Oil change, radiator water, brake fluid etc. I do my best to change/top them up when needed. A few problems below that I can't really figure out:

1. [TBD] When accelerating, its almost as if there is a second "motor" that gives a somewhat high pitched whirring noise - the harder I press the pedal the louder the noise gets. However, the whirring noise goes off once the car is is approx 50km/h (I think)
Update: Still trying to find what bearing is making this noise.

2. [Fixed] Idling is somewhat rough, feels like my engine's RPM is very high (RPM meter rosak liao btw ). Tried to adjust the idle speed but once its idling nicely and not very loudly, my engine feels like it's close to stalling every now and then.
Update: Rough idling fixed after I cleaned my engine using Seafoam (RM50+, Ikano Ace Hardware) + Changed my PCV hoses to remove the vacuum pinch

3. [TBD] I've topped up my brake fluid recently (warning lights came on) but I wonder if it's a normal occurrence or should I be worried and send my car to a mechanic to check my brake system out?
Update: Brake fluid not leaking d somehow. Not sure what to do with this

4. [90% Fixed] I can smell gas when my gas tank is filled to max (eg. auto pump still stop). Once its down about 5L-ish I don't smell it anymore. My mechanic couldn't find anything on the gas tank he said. Any ideas?
Update: Fuel filter to fuel rail line broke, so changed filter + fuel line. Gas small is mostly gone, still have a bit so suspect that gas line also fractured somewhere between fuel filter - fuel pump.

Appreciate any input and insights.
