Calling public bank card users

Dear /k/,

Ayam having this Public Bank old ATM card, this card only has ATM MEPS function which I have been using for 10 years already. I heard my colleague says need to change to new ATM debit card before the end of this month.

Does it apply to my ATM card, mine don't have debit card function also need to change?
I call public bank customer service to inquire but the line seems busy and no one pick up.

inb4 /k/ customer service public bank. Sorry guys im working 9-5 don't have time to visit public bank to ask.

My father's old skul car Mitsubishi Tredia parked at roadside beside Giant supermarket Desa Petaling. He just went to buy something at Giant, just after 15 minutes, the car is gone. Although this car is not worth much, but he is sad because he drive this car for 30 years already and take good care for his car.

Annual Leave

I joined my current company since 1 June 2008. The first year working I don't have any annual leave (They deduct salary for the leave days that I took during first year).

My company practise this:-
• Annual Leave
You are entitled to eight days of paid annual leave for every 12 months’ service if you are in continuous service for less than two years; 12 days paid annual leave if you have been in service for more than two years but less than five years; 16 days annual leave if you have been in service for more than five years.

My company HR people told me for next year 2013 I can take 12 days annual leaves. Year 2014 I have 14 days as it's pro-rated. Year 2015 I only can take the full 16 days. I still confuse with the annual leave days they counted for me. Any /k/tards can clarify for me?

ok yesterdai I wented to a sport brand warehouse sale in a shopping mall in old klang road. When I enter I was carrying a small handbag while my bf carrying a laptop bag. There is two bangla securities at the entrance, they sealed every customers bags with plastic staple ring to prevent shoplifting. The security seals my bf laptop bag which we think is ok. What really annoyed us is that they wanted to seal my handbag as well. My handbag size is just 20cmx10cm. The warehouse is selling items like sport shoes, bags and clothing, it's impossible that those items can be stuffed in my handbag.

My bf scolded 'hey ni bag kecik boleh curi ape?! ni pun mau lock?!" The bangla looks didn't say anything then another staff at the cashier says "boss cakap mesti lock!". Bf says "You panggil boss mari!" They say ok nevermind they let us go in, no need lock my handbag.

I understand that there's people steal things so they seal customers bags as to prevent shoplifters. But I just don't like the idea cos it treats every customer like potential theft, and it's plain stupid to seal every bags customers bring even small handbags.

Ok end of my rant.

Withdraw ATM

Last saturday night 11pm I went public bank branch ATM machine withdraw RM600, I didn't count the money on the spot. When I got back home, I count the money, OMG.... there's only 11 pieces of RM50 notes which is only RM550. I count for like 10 times also same. I didn't touch my wallet all the way home from the bank. So I guess the bank ATM dispense less money to me.

This morning I check my account online, they deducted RM600 from my account. Luckily I keep the ATM receipt, I went to the bank just now, the customer service damn slow I waited for half an hour, the customer service lady asked me to fill in a form to report the case, she said the bank will call me once they did investigation.

Last time my friend case lagi teruk, maybank ATM dispense fake RM100 note to him, complained to the bank the bank didn't accept.

/k/ Do you think I will get back the money?

Another MLM business winding-up

PETALING JAYA: More than 100 people have come together to seek justice after falling victim to an investment scam by an international company based in Shah Alam.

They have set up an action committee made up of victims from as far as Singapore to look for ways to recover their losses.

Kelana Jaya parliamentary coordinator Ong Chong Swen said there could be as many as 10,000 victims.

“We have received complaints from other states like Perak, Johor, Selangor and Malacca and Kuala Lumpur, and even from Singapore and Iran.

“All of them have complained of being cheated by the company,” she told a press conference at her office here yesterday.

Ong said the scam was serious as it involved a large sum of money and must be exposed.

She said the company was established in 2005 selling a range of beauty products and two years later, it started selling energy pendants through direct selling.

In 2010, it invited agents to buy an investment package costing between RM5,300 and RM7,500 whereby agents would receive 35 pendants to be sold to customers for RM595 each as well as a promise of RM380 monthly returns for 70 months.

A victim from Singapore, Angel Yek, said she had bought the package in November last year and went all out to introduce what she believed to be a sound investment package to her friends. Between them, they bought 99 investment packages from the company costing more than RM500,000.

The committee did its own checking and found that the company’s direct selling licence had expired in August last year.

To date, more than 450 police reports have been lodged against the company.

Juz nao i received a call, they call to my office phone number, when i pick up the call, there's a automated female recorded voice saying that "You have an outstanding of eight thousand three hundred seventy seven ringgit. To repeat, press 1. To speak to our customer service officer, press 0." It didn't even tell me what bank is it.

Anyone of you received this call before?

Ladies Parking Space

Why they create such special parking lots reserved for ladies only? We often see reserved parking lots for disabled, but ladies parking lots are rare. It's a privilege for ladies? Yeah i think so, especially for lazy kind, as the parking lots are near to the complex entrance, they don't need to walk far to get to their car while carrying lots of shopping stuffs plus wearing high heel. Another purpose is for safety i think. But don't they have CCTV to monitor the parking lots? Some people may see it like kind of discriminating, it's like treating women the same way as disabled group. Ladies, do you find it privilege or discrimination?
