Possible to SLI different brand of Graphic card?

Planning to upgrade and SLI my current Colorful 9600GT with a Gigabyte 9600GT... both 512MB... is it possible? or do i need the same type of graphic card to SLI???

Streamyx line slows down after upgrade

Need help here people. here's the thing, a few weeks ago, I just upgraded my streamyx line from 384Kb - 1Mb. But, here's the case... my connection's now is like a roller coaster! while downloading or opening a page, at first, it's like 100Kb/s and then, a few seconds later, it's 2Kb/s... sometimes even when opening a page that's saved in my cache would take more than a minute to open.

so, any advices? any software that I can use to stabilize my connection so that i wouldn't cause any timeout errors when downloading??

Here's my very first worklog. I'm taking my wife's old Pentium 3 PC and blinging/modding and upgrading it to her standards. At first I was thinking of building a new case for the PC instead, but, she wanted me to keep the old casing and use that instead but just beef it up a lil.

So, here goes... The first look..

from the back plate you can see that the psu is actually on the right side. This kinda attracted me to the case. and also that the case was actually running a full ATX board on it. First time I saw that case, I thought that it was actually a M-ATX board. I'm still surprised and exited at the same time.

but, as good as the case looked, I noticed some really disturbing things on the case.

It's a full on "Dust Factory"...

hehehe... but no biggie... just needs a cleanup.

But, this really scared me..

wonder what caused it.. need sugestions on how to remove it without ruining the case..

Guide on how to add words...

FRIENDLY REMINDER:
Please do not alter any other entries in your registry editor unless you really, REALLY, know how to and what to alter. Please Follow this guide to the latter. I will not be held responsible if you altered more than was is supposed to be done and ruin your Windows Operating System. This is a simple STEP by STEP guide. So, PLEASE, again I remind you, Follow the STEPS that is provided. Thank You.

Here's a little guide on how to add fancy words beside your taskbar clock. I actually learned this while trying to clean out a virus which added some words beside the clock. Already tested it with both XP and Vista, and they WORK on BOTH! so NO worries! Anyway, without further adue, here goes!

First:
-Click "Start"
-Then "Run"
-Then type in "regedit" and click "OK" to enter into your registry editor.

-On the LEFT side of the registry editor, Double Click on "HKEY_CURRENT_USER", Then "Control Panel", Then sellect "International"
-Then on the Right side of the registry editor, Double Click on "sTimeFormat"
-Then, In the edit string's value data box, after the "h:mm:ss tt" , press space, then enter the words you want to show.
Example: h:mm:ss tt Braynumb

-Then, just click "OK" and just restart your PC, and VOILA! Words on your taskbar!

Cool eh? So, Enjoy yourself and try it out! but remember my reminder ok?

Updates:
when using the letters h,m,s or t, the words that's set will change to numbers because it will follow the time format and the current time.
Eg: when time is 12:15:35pm and the word "My Honeys" is used, the words shown would be "15y 12ney35"

So far, there's no way to bypass this. So, try using words without those letters!

NEED HELP! GA-P35-DS3 Problems!

I've just put together this new PC (Details can be found on my signature below). But the only OS i can install is XP Pro x64. If I try to install XP Pro 32bit, I can't seem to hear any sounds at all. Even though I already installed all the required driver and also updates. And when I try to install Vista 32/64bit, It just won't boot. I tried to install Vista with another PC and then running it on my PC again, But it still won't boot.

Even when I removed 2GB of my RAM to ensure that it's more 32bit compliant, I still can't install XP Pro or Vista Ultimate 32bit/64bit. Even though it can install and run with XP Pro x64, some games and programs can't be run in 64bit mode. Seriously at a lost now. Please Help.

What should I do? Where can I get the installer or driver(s) for this motherboard to at least install XP Pro. Or a solution on getting Vista to work with this mobo.
