Monitor LCD Issue

Hi guys,
I got a LG 17 inch LCD Monitor about 2 years old. The thing is there is fine grey-ish lines on the screen. It mostly/only visible on white background and cover the left side of the screen. The weird thing is the lines are like this /////// (in that angle)

Help..what could possibly be the prob.
So far i have tried to wipe with dry cloth/with lcd cleaner and change the video source.but no luck.

Hi all,
So,I build a system 2 months ago with the following specs:
MSI 790GX-G65
AMD Phenom II 945 3.0Ghz
2X2GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600 CL9
500GB SATA
Sapphire ATI HD3870 DDR4 512MB 256bit
Cooler Master Real Power Pro 550W
Samsung DVD Writer
Windows 7 Ultimate

It ran fine until a week ago where when I turn it on, no beeps and nothing on the screen, but all the fan and drives are running.
The only way I found was to hold the Reset button for couple of time and it will boot.
Now, none is working.
I've tried,
1.Resit and reset all hardware connections including gpu,cpu,ram,usb's
2.Use single ram on first slot
3.Add the paper thing on all the screw of mobo to riser
4.Reset CMOS battery and the Clear CMOS button
None works
All of the APS LED's are lid.No OC's has been done except adjusting RAM to run on stock speed.
Please help me, i really need my pc to work urgently

CPU Cooler Prob

So, i just got MSI G65 board with Corsair Dominator memories.
Since the ram slots are abit close to the cpu and the ram are tall, my cooler is hitting the ram and pushing it slightly..painful to look at
Therefore, i will need new cooler,what do you guys suggest and im looking for aftermarket once.
Cooler Master Hyper TX2 cannot fit.
Urgent guys, many thanks for your help.....

Rumors of an open-air version of the exclusive Lamborghini Reventón have been circulating for months, with recent reports suggesting that the company has already shown a pre-production prototype to some of its best customers. Now sources suggest that the Raging Bull brand could be preparing to unveil the Reventón Roadster at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show, with only ten to be built, packing the more potent 670 horsepower engine from the SuperVeloce.

By slapping on some edgy body panels and glitzy instruments, Sant'Agata managed to bump the Murcielago's price up into seven-figure territory, and they could do it again by lopping off the Reventón's roof (or slapping said panels on the Murci Roadster, depending on how you look at it). But while they could very well unveil the car in Frankfurt, with the Balboni edition Gallardo yet to make its public debut, they may also opt to make good on their commitment of a new product at every major auto show and keep the Reventón Roadster under wraps until a later date.

PETALING JAYA: The case of model Kartika Sari Dewi Shukarno, who is to be caned for drinking beer, has caught international attention.

From Australia to Indonesia, Thailand, China, Germany, the United States and Britain, news of her impending sentence has thrust Kartika into the international limelight and into most blog chats.

CNN (Cable News Network), BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) and other leading television stations have also highlighted her case as one of the top stories of the day.

They carried a story of her predicament yesterday, especially when her sentence was temporarily aborted because of the fasting month.

Couple who gave house to son now homeless

SIN Chew Daily reported that an elderly couple in Singapore who gave up their duplex to their son ended up homeless after they were chased out of the house by the ungrateful offspring.

The couple now call the staircase of a school their home.

The man, who was named as Lim, was a manager before he retired. He had a son and a daughter who lived in Jurong, Singapore.

Relating his ordeal to a secretary of the school, Lim said he and his wife decided to give their duplex home to their son as a wedding gift about two years ago.

The couple thought that they could live in the house with their son. He, however, decided to sell the property for RM960,000 to buy another condominium. Lim and his wife were then sent off to live with the daughter.

After a year, the daughter decided that they were no longer welcome and banned them from touching her children.

The couple could not enter the house after their daughter changed the locks to the house.

INTERNET SERVICES DISRUPTION

Dear Valued Customers,

Telekom Malaysia Berhad ™ wishes to announce that its consortium members have detected that a 2nd cable fault on Segment 7 of the Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) undersea cable network between China and Taiwan on Friday, 14 August 2009.

The fault follows three other service disruptions that recently hit the same cable network, affecting APCN2 Segment 7, between Hong Kong and Taiwan, and APCN2 Segment 1, which connects Singapore and Malaysia. The earlier faults on APCN2 Segment 1 were restored on Sunday, 16 August 2009.

As a result, customers using Internet services may continue to experience slow browsing while accessing websites hosted in the US and Northern Asia. In addition, customers using other IP services such as Virtual Private Network (VPN) over Internet and other critical business applications linked to the US and Northern Asia may experience some service degradation. To alleviate the problem, some of the links have been directed to alternate routes to ease the congestion.

Restoration works on the affected cables are already in progress. Full recovery of Internet services is expected to be on 10 September 2009. TM will make further announcements on the progress of the restoration works.

TM wishes to assure its customers that it is undertaking all necessary measures to restore communications services for its customers as soon as possible.

ANNOUNCEMENT ON CONFICKER WORM

Dear Valued Customers,

Telekom Malaysia Berhad ™ wishes to inform its customers that they may be experiencing slow browsing due to the widespread infection of the Conficker Worm.

Conficker, also known as Downup, Downadup and Kido, is a computer worm that surfaced in October 2008 and targets the Microsoft Windows operating system. The worm exploits a previously patched vulnerability in the Server service used by Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 Beta, and Windows Server 2008 R2 Beta.

The Conficker worm is a computer worm that can infect your computer and spread itself to other computers across a network automatically, without human interaction. It is a standalone malicious program which uses computer or network resources to make complete copies of itself. It may include code or other malware to damage both the system and the network

Conflicker infects other computers across a network by exploiting the vulnerability in the Windows Server service (SVCHOST.EXE). It might spread through file sharing and via removable drives, such as USB drives (also known as thumb drives). The worm adds a file to the removable drive so that when the drive is used, the AutoPlay dialog box will show one additional option. The Conficker Worm can also disable important services on your computer.

TM strongly encourages its customers to update unpatched systems as soon as possible. Additionally, TM recommends that customers take the following preventive measures to help mitigate the security risks:
Step 1 – Turn on your firewall - Point to Control Panel -> Network and Internet Connections ->Windows Firewall.
Step 2 - Update Windows - Open up Internet Explorer and go to http://update.microsoft.com. Do all the urgent or required updates.
Step 3 - Verify that your antivirus software is on and keep it up-to-date. You should have a “resident” (always running) antivirus software installed such as Norton, McAfee, AVG, Trend Micro, etc. Open your antivirus and see if it is running and updated. Update it if it is not. You can also go to Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Security Center to verify that antivirus is running.

Missouri City’s computer and phone network still was experiencing spotty outtages Thursday morning, the result of what IT officials believe is an infection from the Conficker computer virus.

Phones and PCs went offline sometime Tuesday, according to city employees, and the network came back up before 9 a.m. Thursday. However, during a FortBendNow phone interview with a police official later in the morning, the line suddenly went dead.

“The phones went down again,” along with the computers, said Missouri City Police Capt. John Bailey, who was using his cell phone and a laptop computer to conduct business.

Also known as the “Conficker/Downadup” worm, Conficker has infected millions of computers running Windows worldwide since October of 2008, even prompting Microsoft to offer a $250,000 reward in February, to bring the bug’s authors to justice.

After literally a day of speculation, Lamborghini has officially announced the LP550-2 Valentino Balboni – a two-wheel-drive tribute to its legendary test driver.

Meet the first ever two-wheel-drive Lamborghini Gallardo. This is the LP550-2 Valentino Balboni, named after and dedicated to Lamborghini’s most famous test driver.

Balboni was hired by Ferruccio Lamborghini himself in 1967 and worked on cars that have adorned bedroom walls for the past four decades, from the Miura to the current Gallardo and Murciélago models. “A Lamborghini must always combine the precision of a race car with the reliability of a good friend,” says Balboni.

As for the car, the LP550-2 is a limited run edition of just 250 cars, and UK buyers can expect to pay £137,900 for one. Plus tax. As you might have guessed, it’s got a 550hp version of the 5.2-litre V10 driving the rear wheels. The LP550-2 VB weighs just 1,380kg, resulting in a 0-62mph time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 199mph.

I just received my SPM results and it was all well.
So I am planning to take American Degree Transfer Program from INTI...
I then asked some advise from my sister and she said that most student who took this program dropped-out within a year of studying and pursue another course such as SAMB....

I went blur....

Hi all,
I got a Presario V3000 series lappy..its about 2 years old.
After all the hard usage..my lappy's casing seems to have a lot black spots.....
The original color is non-glossy grey....it makes me lappy look hideous..
Anyone can help me to diminish this spots...?
And i also tried the common notebook cleaner kit that has all the brush and liquid...but no difference...

I just got a USB-USB Data Transfer Cable from the shops.
I have tried numerous drivers and softwares on the cd given and on the net as well but none works
Im am trying to transfer files from my lappy to the desktop...both are running on XP
Both computers are unable to detect each other...so what is the solution to this problem????

Wanna ask which one of these RAM's are better?

Corsair XMS2 DHX 2X2GB 800Mhz 5-5-5-18 (Both CL5 and CL4 version)

Or

Corsair Gaming Memory 2X2GB 800Mhz 5-5-5-18

By spec there are almost identical but I want more of OC capability, stability,and reliability.
Please help me decide cuz gonna buy soon...don't care about the price difference.
If you have any better option,please state that as well.....
