Unifi Free Upgrade

Hi All,

I previously was with the StayWithUnifi 300Mbps package that I got from the TMPoint that GUARANTEED PERPETUAL 500Mbps speeds since last year.

I recently got told through email, SMS and on Notifications on the Unifi App from TM that my speed got upgraded.

When I checked, I noticed that my speeds are still the same but my package name was only changed to Unifi Pro 500.

There was no speed upgrade being done, only package name change.

I emailed Unifi trying to ask them if it was done wrongly, they guaranteed me many times I got a speed upgrade and none of them want to acknowledge I didn't get just a package name change.

I messaged their Facebook CS staff telling them the same thing, they also said it wasn't only a package name change but I also got a speed upgrade.

I tried to logically tell them I got no speed upgrade but they kept saying I did.

I even showed them screenshots of my previous speeds and current speeds but it seems that they do not care.

I went to TM Point who told me the truth. I wouldn't get any speed upgrade, only my package name would be changed.

I had friends who have the same issues - they were on the same package and also got 500Mbps GUARANTEED PERPETUALLY. They also have got ONLY a package name change but speed remains the same.

I also have friends who have the StayWithUnifi 500Mbps that were on 800Mbps speeds PERPETUALLY. They ALSO got a package name change but speed remains the same.

Anyone else facing the same issues?

Why does TM keep saying we got free speed upgrades?

TLDR.

Before Sep 2024 speed upgrade --> I got 500Mbps
After Sep 2024 speed upgrade --> I got 500Mbps

0 free speed upgrade. Package name only changed.

[SERIOUS Q] Anywhere to repair monitors in KL/PJ?

Hi All,

I recently got 2 donated monitors which are faulty:

1. DELL Ultrasharp monitor has issues on the bottom and right side of the monitor.
2. Samsung monitor screen somehow has it's top layer on the monitor peeling.

Does anyone know anywhere who will repair them for cheap or should I just discard them if the repairs is too expensive?

I'm looking for anyone to help repair them in the Klang Valley if possible.

As these are for charity, I cannot spend too much on the repairs as I also have allocated some monies to repair other devices.

Please only donate if you do not want to use it in the near future, it is in working condition, below 10 years of age, or is repairable with minimal cost.

I do apologize in advance as I have to set the age limit for the above items as I've had some issues with post-donation support e.g. kids had issues with much older devices when even running basic learning apps.

I can pick up from KL/PJ when I am nearby your area or I can send a Courier Service (e.g. Lalamove) to you if you require it.

There are a number of people on my waiting list and I've verified that these people have not gotten any help from the government for the above.

A bit of a background

During my spare time, I help refurbish second hand laptops/desktops for the B40, the needy and those who really are in need of a device to start a business (probably losing their incomes and jobs).

I have been doing this for more than 7 years now. Used to do it in my early 20s as well but stopped due to constant work travel.

I have been helping to refurbish more than 200 laptops/desktops/items above so far and given them out.

I also repair the above items on an ad-hoc basis when I get item donations and make sure they get to people in need.

I have been buying parts when necessary to refurbish all the items above, all on my own accord.

Aux Connection To Car Stereo

Can all MP3 or any MP3 player use the car AUX function to connect to the car stereo if it is available on the car stereo?

What do I need to get in order to use this function? Will the song title (when the song is playing on the MP3 player) be displayed on the MP3 player's lcd or the car stereo's display. Thanks a lot.

A newbie on this, just thought I'd stop burning cds and get a small player.

Garage Sales Postings

Hi there.

I was trying to post up topics of selling of overstock of old chargers meant for spares however it was taken down. I'm just posting it up for my friend who's in the business of selling handphones and repairing them so I'm not getting anything.

The reason the topic was taken down was cause I couldn't post up pictures to verify the chargers. I don't see how I can since last I took pictures was like a month+ ago of my stuff then camera went bust again like the old one (This time the second time). I offered fruitie and vikingw2k to take pictures of my stuff if she and he wanted to but it was declined. Anyways:

1. I see lotsa threads without pictures of items the people are selling anyway. For example electronics, spare parts, handphones, etc. Now, I've highlighted some to the persons said but I got no feedback from them; even their own threads remain open with this criteria. Go through Garage Sales and you see majority of threads like that. I got no argument with anyone but I don't understand why all of a sudden my topic got locked and deleted.

2. Photos taken with claims in the topics saying they're selling AVAXX, ZITRON, originals, etc. I see that the majority don't even show these out. I don't see the need to unless the buyer complaints. Same as my stuff. Sometimes even when you get photos the stuff might not be what the photos show. Like for example NOKIA N95s shown but NOKlA N95s being sent to the buyers.
