Axiata Young Talent Programme

I was hunting for scholarships for friends and came across this cool scholarship by Axiata. And I realised that this scholarship is not anywhere seen in this forum yet.

There are two scholarship categories:

1. Pre-University

- International Baccalaureate Pre-University Programme
- at the reputable International School of Penang (Uplands)

2. University

- Degrees in top universities in the UK

Go for it all you brilliant students who did well in the recent SPM and those who are proceeding to university! Sounds really good to me... Especially the Ax-Factor part of the scholarship.

"Coverage

The Young Talent Programme will cover the full duration of the university degree, subject to Axiata Group Berhad’s terms and conditions. The programme’s coverage includes all tuition fees, text books, boarding, travel and laptops*. A non-curriculum fund will be provided for students to participate in the school based extra-curricular activities.

In addition to the school related fees, Axiata Group Berhad will also bear the full cost of the Ax-Factor programmes and initiatives.

drum Double Pedals!

HI all ye drummers!

I've searched around this part of the forums for a thread on double pedals, but I couldn't find one.. And I've got a few questions to ask. Btw, I've played drums for about 11 yrs.. but I'm not really as good as how one should be with ELEVEN years of drumming.. cuz I don't really practice much (I blame the facts that I never had my own drum kit until only recently, and also that I've got other priorities hindering me and limiting me.. =S ..oh wells)..

So anyway, my latest crave is a Double Pedal.. But I've NO IDEA where to start! (And I kinda suck at drum gear too!!)
On top of that, my budget is definitely within the frame of 3 figures only.. (eg: RM XXX)

But I'd still like to hear thorough opinions on ALL the DPs if possible.. =]
(Who knows in the future I might want to upgrade..haha!)

Basically, I'd like to know:

- What distinguishes the various models? (can be ALL the DPs...not just those under the budget I'm looking for)
- What are their pros and cons?
- What are their prices, and the place for that awesome bargain?
- Which would you recommend that I should begin with? (a DP that's decent in performance, durability, and budget)
- Any other extras you'd like to add is very much appreciated......

I'm sure many aspiring drummers would appreciate your thoughts, just as I will! =)
