I've done similar threads in previous year, so lets share whats your exciting and purchases that make you happy in 2024.

I'll start: My new portable gaming laptop.

Been debating between Asus ROG Ally vs Legion Go since forever finally decided on this one sebab:

1. Black. I hate white gadgets.
2. 2 usb-c port instead of 1.
3. Detachable controller.
4. Big screen. Wife teman I check out both and she likes Legion screen better.
5. The right controller can turn into joystick-mouse.
6. The price comes with 3 years Malaysian warranty and case out of the box. Ally semua kena beli sendiri.

Aku mmg dah lama nak a portable gaming Windows PC but the previous choices (Ayaneo and GPS) takde local presence in Malaysia so making warranty an issue.

Btw my last year checklist 2 item je tak beli. This year so far I checked this off and maybe PS5 slim later this year.

Apart from the wishlist I also bought these in 2023
- New MacBook air for bini
- 2 x Iphone 15 Pro for both me and bini

Argument against Asus ROG Ally: I just got a gaming laptop last year.

Argument for Sony ZV-1 Mark 2: Sony quality vlogging camera with best autofocus in market.
Argument against Sony ZV-1 Mark 2: I already have DJI Pocket 2 and Instea360 Go 2 for vlogging.

Argument for DJI Mini Pro 3: Superb aerial video with a lot of auto function, and dedicated controller with screen.
Argument against DJI Mini Pro 3: My Mini 2 is still very fine, and rarely used.

Show Off Tered 2022-2023

Almost every year got tered to showcase your purchases for that year, tak perasan pulak one for 2022 so I'm gonna start.

This tered is dedicated to just showing what you bought or show off your biggest accomplishment for 2022. Please be civil and supportive, feel free to show off anything that made you feel good and proud for this year.

1. New Home Gym

I already have a home-gym before, but this one is irresistible because it comes with adjustable seat height, adjustable back rest and a leg press attachment, so I replace the old one. This one also feels sturdier, and direct from brand warehouse so if anything rosak I know where I can find support and replacement parts.

2. Dishwasher

My wife so busy as school teacher and I am so lazy to wash dishes that I tak pakai. So this settle the problem. However I am annoyed the swinging door to the yard cannot fully close if I place the dishwasher directly facing the door, so will change the door to sliding type soon jugak.

I mean TS4 has always been woke, but before they let players make the choices. Now nak push agenda crossdress diorang lak.

P.s. The game already allow you to put on whatever clothes regardless of gender. The game has been severely lacking in their male clothes department compared to the female choices, yet they push this in a male-centric pack. Adoi.

My JRPG of the Year

I never played any Yakuza game before, I generally dont like game yang guna guns. When my friend recommend Yakuza Like A dragon to me I am kinda hesitant sebab its a game about gang violence and I never really play any Yakuza game before, so I am missing out on a lot of backstory.

Luckily for me Like A Dragon changes the gameplay from a GTA-like open world game into a turn-based JRPG. They also starts fresh with new protagonist and his addiction to Dragon Quest transformed the entire game into typical JRPG setting. They replaced classic RPG jobs like tank and healers to modern jobs like Musician, Breaker (break dancer), Idol, Bodyguard (and even hookers lol) and they skills are interesting and funny to watch (this one guy use seeds to summon pigeons to attack enemies lol). There's even a summon system where you use a Grab-like app to summon people to assist you in battle using money!

This combines with tonnes of side quests, mini games, relationship building and J-drama quality of storytelling makes me stan for Yakuza Like A Dragon, and these people below agrees with me:
