Dear all sifu,

is civic 1.7 ES an 4-speed automatic transmission or CVT transmission?

I still rmb last time when I repair my civic 1.7 gearbox (leakage), the shopkeeper told me take good care of the gearbox becoz its an CVT (i not sure whether he bs me?)

I did some googles and there is some evidence its CVT.

I google on CVT and it suppose to increase speed while maintaining rpm, sumthing like the video:

However, my civic 1.7 2001 is shifting as if 4-speed transmission

Any help is highly appreciated.

<help> problem with frequency receiver

Dear all,

My ride is a Honda Civic 1.7 and its a printed antenna on the rear windscreen.

Problem here is after I changed the tint, my FM radio had produce lots of noise, similar to those tv with no channel.
I suspect they damaged the antenna, i filed my complaint but they refuse to liable.

Changing the whole windscreen just because poor frequency reception kinda ridiculous and costly.
Is it possible to install additional antenna to rectify the frequency reception?
If yes, roughly how much would it cost and how would it looks like? (I dunwan to install skyscraper antenna like those ah beng's wira/saga, if possible i prefer conceal antenna which less visible to eyesight)

If there is alternative options, please feel free to guide me.

Your helps is highly appreciated.

rear window demister and antenna grids,

went to tint shop and they tried to remove it but end up the tint break into pieces. they say have to scrap the rear window and they GUARANTEE (at 1st say maybe) will destroy the demister and antenna grids.

they give me 2 choice,
1. continue to tint and destroy the grids.
2. change a new window.

i cant risk to destroy the grids yet changing new rear window is.. expensive.

anyone know other ways to rectify the rear window please help!

i manage to clean the upper portion of the rear window with alcohol but i cant clean the lower portion of the window due to limited access ( i dunno how to dismantle backseat and rear deck )

#with respect to the tintshop, i would not like to reveal their name but they done a good job at removing and install all tint expect for the rear window.

Its a desktop used quite a number of year and just now the screen suddenly became unusual. dunno how to describe it but the screen looks like those badly tuned antenna TV. graphic still there but many many many noise. i manually/forced restart the comp and things get worse. its became almost detuned TV with mostly noise except that it is still coloured.

as for the desktop spec. i totally clueless coz my bro assembled it himself but i still can play starcraft II so its quite a well built spec.

is it the graphic card KO? mobo burnt? pls advice all sifus and thx in advance
