BSOD in my laptop

BSOD occurred when booting in to windows XP Home SP3 after installed the Ubuntu 8.04. But Ubuntu is working fine in my laptop.
Anyone know what is happening??

I'm using IBM thinkPad R40, Pentium M 1.4Ghz, 512MB ram.
Hope someone can help me out~

I added a new sata HDD in my system,i cant see my new HDD appear in "my computer",but i can found it in "device manager" there.

Corsair Twin 2X 2048-6400 DDR2 800 5-5-5-12 2GB
But y cpu-z oni show my RAM as PC2-4300(266Mhz) and timing 4-4-4-12~
How come like tis 1??

Which Power Supply suitable for tis rig? ^^

im using CORSAIR CM2X1024-6400 X2,the mobo is ASUS M2A-VM..
The problem is,when i running 2GB dual channel,my pc will hang @ windows login there~
After that,i try to run wif 1GB RAM,my pc can work properly~How come like tis??What is the causes??
