Just bought a Panasonic Plasma, HD ready. 40inch.

Well, bought it for watching Astro of course but then, is it normal for the whole tv to flicker madly after a whole round of PS2 gaming??

I mean, its new.
and, my parents keep complaining to me on stop gaming on the TV and said that it will 'hurt' or 'decrease it's life span' some sort? Last time i heard from the technician was tube tvs will die easily if i use it for gaming.

But, does gaming using plasma tvs make any difference?

if yes.. why?
if no, then why is my tv flickering like crazy? =3=

I worked for a recent convention in KLCC for a company that sells packages of security system and the company is in cheras. I applied for the job through email as my friends sent me a message that they needed a salesgirl or showgirl so to say for the four days con.

So at the first day of work, it was alright.

Then nightmare came. I felt conned. The job description said we only need to be flier girls or just intro customers to our product and pull them to their booth. Which was normal la.

The employers at first told us bout how to sell their product. They first said that all we had to do was pull them and they will do the selling. Of course if we did the selling for them we will get commission. But it was up to us to sell or not. Its optional and they said that 'we don't need you to sell for us. Just pull them in and we'll do the job'.

thats what we did la.

First few hours of the con, it was alright. After lunch hour..

'WEI, DO SOME SALES LEH, WE HIRE YOU FOR NOTHING LE.' wtf..

The company's staffs harass us freelancers esp that we are girls, they ask loads of personal stuffs that should not be asked. (18SX) and verbally harrassing us whenever they feel like it.

The salesman for their own company failed at being a salesman coz i've been to training before and our basic was 'not to judge a customer'. We should not judge them by looks saying 'they wont buy our product one la'. We must not do that as every customers are a shot. You might not know an uncle that wears shabby is a millionaire rite? The salesman himself did not even know this basic and one of my customer looked introvert (like those got mental problem silent type) and he straight away gave him a disgusting look. And then he pulled us and bad mouthing that poor guy.

I held my policy and served him and intro-ed him our package and turned out that he bought few package of our products at one straight go.

Still, they bad mouthed him. (buy also complain, dun buy also complain)

at the end of the day,

we freelancers were 'black mailed' of our salary. If we don't sell two more package at the end of the day, we get no pay.

Is this how employers should act?

I feel so conned, and i work so hard for you for a penny and they were so rude to us by treating us indifferently. They were sexist and agist? ( duno the word lol) Coz i was the youngest in the team they thought i knew nothing and looked down on me and threw insults at me. Yet at the end of the con, i held the highest sales volume.

This is so unfair. I feel so... bleh. Wanna strangle them myself.

Do we freelance part timers deserve such treatment? Especially coz we are young? (im young, yet i still can do my job better than you)

how am i supposed to response to such employers in the future without getting myself into trouble?

What do you think of my situation?

BEWARE OF SWINDLERS

Beware of a swindler by the name of Steven. Full name unknown.

Recently since February there's a guy by the name Steven whose full name is unknown.

Short, slightly dark and plump guy with big eyes and often stutters abit, chinese male and drives an old Camry. More info on his vehicle later. Will upload a pic and video of him later as source of his looks is still being searched.

How he swindles innocent people?
- he will sit down and gain your trust by telling you that he could get cheap stocks on gadgets like laptops and phones from the customs. His story is; 'customs confiscate phones that are shipped to malaysia. Example, the limit for phones to be shipped is 10k units yet the company shipped in 15k. So the remainder 5k units are confiscated. So i can get a good price for the remainders coz i know someone in the customs. So if you want them you can pay me first. Think about it, you get one phone of any edition for only MYR200, you can sell them at retail price or just a few hundred ringgit higher, you can make fast money out of this'

THIS IS HIS STORY TO LURE INNOCENT PEOPLE TO GET TRICKED. He will change his story on selling handphones and laptops only.

My boyfriend (refused to be named) and i almost fell for his trap coz we got to knew him when my boyfriend worked for him in his cyber cafe. This guy owns a cyber cafe in Taman Yulek Cheras where he claims to keep his stocks of his swindled customers. Our friend's uncle who contacted him directly and was interested with his said stocks, were swindled of Rm120k++. The uncle that owns a Contact Lense Wholesaling Company next to this swindler's Cyber Cafe was also swindled of Rm300k and above. He will gain your trust with his famous quote, ' You think that i could run? I have a whole cyber cafe here. I can't run anywhere'. Its a LIE. He did ran.

And he is still at LARGE. Last seen and heard of was still at Taman Yulek Cheras area at around 9.30-9.45pm 10th April 2009.

He used my boyfriend's maybank account to ask his innocent customers to bank in the large amount of cash into it and use my boyfriend as a scapegoat. Fortunately the one who banked in saw the name was my boyfriend's and called us about it. The night he said that they could get the stocks, its the night he ran away. He closed down his cyber cafe and the computers are still in there. Steven used to be a man who hires freelance kids to sell flowers on Valentines day and that day itself he swindled my boyfriend's salary. I almost forked out some cash for this 'scheme' thing and lucky that i felt something wasnt right and i didn't and what i hope not to happen REALLY did happened. He swindled everyone's money and ran.

There's a CCTV inside the store yet when we broke in and checked for his information, any letter whatsoever that could help us track him down. He was a smart guy. He took all those letters that could've brought us to him and tore them and burnt them. The computers were turned off, when we checked for the CCTV, the round black thing was only a shell. There were no wires no cameras no nothing. Only a small red LED that made it looks real. We went to his house that he showed us to when a whole group of freelancers were led to to take the roses for sell the same night, it was abandoned with the TVs still at home and such. We asked the neighbors but the neighbors said that they seldom appears. We checked the number plates of the car that was driven by him, both plates were fake. One of it belongs to a woman in Johor and the other in Penang.

There are still victims that were swindled by this man. Some are business man and some are managers from some gadget stores in Low Yat so to say.

Whatever it is, if there's a man by the name of Steven, telling you the same said story. DO NOT TRUST HIM. In fact, Pm me if you have any info on him. Alot of other victims did report him to the police yet they did nothing. His phone numbers change from time to time. We tried to track his info from DIGI but the info he gave DIGI was a fraud too. We are suspecting that his IC is a fake.

The last number he used is 10th April 2009; 016-6595015

We lost info and track on him ever since after March until a fellow freelance worker of mine that sold roses for him during valentines day called me out of the sudden last night saying that she couldn't contact Steven and ask to see if i could contact him. She was also a victim of this man.

So everyone please be on the look out!

DO NOT TRUST any stocks that says 'we sell stocks from customs'. If the man is by the name of steven, PLEASE do contact me by pm here. The victims are all ganging up to track him down. We want our money back lol

LCD TVs

Im planning to buy a LCD TV hopefully at around 40-42inch.

Problem is, i don't know which one is better. So far i've looked for Toshiba and Samsung. Both has their defects and great value. I need something that i could watch astro without problem as i know that its still analog.

So which one's better?

Im buying a 37inch for gaming too.

Advice please?

Hey guys. I need some assistance lol

i've bought my W960i since april and had been using it without any trouble until i tried to install Opera Mini into my phone. After that a 'Default Capabilities.xml' kept appearing and i deleted it everytime it appeared. My Phone name was named as Jun937 and a 0kb file appeared out of nowhere naming Jun937 and i cant delete it. So i suspect that its a virus.

After for quite some time, my touch screen starts to stop responding to me. The last time was it didnt respond for two days and it worked normally after that. Now it stopped responding again out of the sudden when i was sms-ing. So is it a spare-parts problem or should i re-format my phone coz of a virus is in my phone playing dillies around?

Need serious help here =A= wasted RM2k for this crappy phone T__T
