The game features tons of modes, including online modes, local multiplayer, and even a way to play with the Wii Balance Board. The game was announced at Nintendo's 2007 conference in Japan, when WiiWare was first shown off to the public.

What's so special about it? It's just Tetris, right?
Wrong and here's why...

Costs only 1200 Wii Points ($12)

Includes 18 different modes

10 all-new modes

Online multiplayer for up to 6 players

Local multiplayer for up to four players

Includes a special mode that uses the balance board

Includes over 100 achievements to unlock

Online leaderboards

The first tournament has been announced!

http://tetrisparty.com/en_US/tournament/

These are not all the modes, as I don't think we know all of them.

Beginner Tetris Mode (Video Here)

While not an entirely new mode, this mode includes some new twists. As the name suggests, this is for beginner players. This mode features bigger blocks in a smaller playing field. There are new shapes like a three-block line, a two- block line, and a small three-block L shape. This mode includes balance board support.

Co-Op Mode (Video Here)

Work together in a larger matrix to clear lines!

Stage Racer (Video Here)

Fall through small tunnels, rotating your piece to keep it from connecting to the ground.

Team Battle (Video Here)
A returning mode, this mode is one of the most hectic. This time around, though, it features new things, such as IR and motion sensitive items.

Field Climber (Video Here)

A new mode coming to Tetris, this mode will have you trying to help navigate a little man to the top of the screen? How do you do that? Tetris blocks of course! Place them down so that he can climb on to them, and they make a path so he can get to the top.

Dual Spaces Mode (Video Here)

In this mode, the object is to block off empty space. For every empty space you block out, you get points.

Versus Mode (Video Here)

A classic Tetris mode in which you can play against your friends or the computer. The objective is simple: don't die before your opponent.

Winning Eleven 2008 WII

IGN has already come up with the first video and impression on this highly anticipated game. http://wii.ign.com/articles/826/826603p1.html

Are you guys ready to throw away all your previous WE skills as Konami has cleverly used the Nunchuk and Wiimote to enhanced the gameplay experience rather than bolt on some motion-sensing gimmick.

QUOTE

That's not to say Konami has opted to dumb down Pro Evo by making it more accessible to the Wiimote-waving masses. On the contrary, PES2008 on Wii looks every bit as realistic as its hi-def cousins and, if initial thoughts prove right, it could well offer a greater level of control and freedom in terms of gameplay.

The reason for this is that Konami has cleverly used the Nunchuk and Wiimote to enhanced the gameplay experience rather than bolt on some motion-sensing gimmick. Here, the Nunchuk stick is used to move the player around screen and the B button is used to pass. No big deal you may think, but what's interesting is that the Wiimote appears as a point on the screen, affecting the gameplay in a couple of ways. Firstly, it's an alternative way of moving your player around the screen - drag the cursor around while holding A and your player will follow the on-screen target. Secondly, the cursor is used to accurately pass the ball, so if you want to thread a looping through ball to a winger (rather than the obvious guy standing nearby) simply move the target over the runner's head and press pass.

That's not all. Using the same method, you're free to pass into space and, from the video we've seen), the AI is smart enough to know what you're doing and latch onto the pass, within reason of course.

The Wiimote comes in really useful during setpieces too because you can 'order' off-the-ball players to make runs. Again, simply click the cursor over their heads and then drag in the direction you want them to run. They'll then scuttle off, leaving you to knock in a well-weighted ball they can latch on to. There's no limit to the number of players you can move around either, so there's no reason why a skilled player couldn't send one player off on a dummy run while crossing the ball into the path of a player they've sent in another direction.

Surge Protector (For the phone line)

Can anyone recommend me a surge protector (For the phone line) so that everytime it is striked by lightning, I dont have to fork out another 50-60 ringgit replacing it.

Maybe there is a brand somewhere that only allows me to just change the fuse.

Thanks in advance.
