(Cnet Combo Modem?) problem with Mac.

Hi Guys, I'm sorry for restarting this topic.

I have this router/modem that works fine with four Ethernet ports. All of them work fine but the WLAN is horrible. I can't seem connect with my Macbook Pro. It occasionally will be able to connect with my iPhone and my Fujitsu Laptop. I am totally clueless on networks, routers, modems and what-not. I'll try my best to provide as much info as possible. I have been reading up and asking people quite a lot but am utterly confused.

Do I set a "DNS number" in my Mac network advanced preference? I am not sure what DNS means, I just know it looks like IP address.

I am using a WPA2 password for my Router. I have tried WPA, WEP and also using No password. Still I get "Connection Timeout". So I suspect it is not security problem.

I am using Maxis Broadband. Not the wireless one, I have no streamyx in my area, Bandar Puchong Jaya.

I can detect the Wireless signal but it keeps prompting me to type in the password, whenever I type it in, it prompts me again. If not it says "Connection Timeout"

Is there anymore information you need?
