Phone Hacked and Money Transferred Out

Not sure if anyone has similar experience, but today my mum's phone was hacked where her Whatsapp was black-out. The hacker started sending messages to her contacts asking for money. He even provided a bank account number (Bank Islam), although the name is obviously fake. He also managed to transfer out money from Touch N Go, but bank-related transfers are safe. During this period, my mum's phone was not usable.

A police report has been made although I don't expect much hope to recover the money. Just sharing in case anyone knows what could have caused this.

Side note, is iOS more secure when it comes to hacking?

Poco F2 Pro Stuck in Boot Loop

My phone has been stuck in boot loop since yesterday. Tried numerous ways but still the same, unless I do a new factory reset where all data will be wiped out.
Even then, after 2 weeks the problem will come again. I am not sure if there are conflicts of some apps with the OS or is this a known problem.

Anyone experienced this before? Any suggestions?

Is there any carpooling app (with large number of users of course) available in Malaysia? I traveled frequently between Penang and Ipoh, so it would be good to have this to share the cost. We used to have GrabHitch but it has been discontinued.

Can suggest alternative to tiles installation

Hi all forumers,

I am making the yard area of my apartment to be a wet-kitchen where cooking will occur. There are no tiles at that area so I am trying to install tiles on the part highlighted in the photo. I asked for quotation and it costs around RM600 and will make the place very dirty and messy including the painted wall (My reno work is close to completion).

Besides tiles, is there any other alternative that would make this addition hassle-free and most importantly, the material can withstand heat generated from the gas stove. Thanks.

Paid by owner or tenants?

Usually during house rental, utilities will be paid by tenants and not owner and this includes electricity and water bill. What about indah water as they usually have fixed rate? Is this part of utilities? The agreement only mentioned utilities so this is subject to debate. I know the rate is around RM10 per month, but just want to know the clear line.

I have already known C and C++ and would like to learn Java on my own. I heard that Eclipse is one of the best IDE for Java but when I go to their download site, there are so many versions of Eclipse.

So I would really appreciate if someone could tell me which Eclipse would suit my needs best:

1) Can be used to develop Android app
2) Can be used to compile and run Java code

Dear all android users. I am trying to move my contacts from my iPhone to anr Android phone. This is the first time I was doing this and I followed every steps given in the link below. However, instead of choosing the "merge" option, I clicked "replace" and now all of the contacts in my iphone is gone. I tried restoring back but the contacts are still not there (I'm afraid that the last backup is the one with the contact lost) . Are there any way to retrieve back as they are very important to me.

When I tried to compile the code using make file (shell script), I got this error message "In function 'readPgm' format '%d' expects argument of type 'int *', but argument 3 has type 'unsigned char *' "
