1992 Proton Saga vs 2002 Proton Iswara

I have to let go one of my two cars because I'm booking a new Saga. But I can't decide which to keep. I want the car that will be less problematic and probably last another 5-8years.

The 92 saga has done only 110000KM and the 02 Iswara 82000KM but already must change valve seal don't know what's next.

I asked a few friends, they said of course keep the newer car. But the 02, although it feels more comfortable and (better NVH levels?), than the 92, it feels like it may not last long. (just my feeling)

When driving, the 92 feels more powerful, nice clutch, and feels like it is better built. The 02 jerks a bit, somehow I have the feeling that it will give me trouble in the future, the clutch is a bit stiff, and engine has this ringing sound(like old telephone) when rev and then let go.

Some people said that the older Saga did have better parts and engine. So i guess that is also playing in my mind.

Power window one touch up/down function

My old Saga got this function when you press the power window button once, automatically the window winds down, and up. But my Iswara has only one touch for going down. I'm going to sell my Saga and so I want to take that "window function" and put in in my Iswara.

I have no Idea what controls that. Is it the motor or got extra wiring?

Car jerky - spark plug issue

My car's total mileage is 82000KM

I have this problem, for more than 1 year ready...: The car is always jerky about 3000KM after i change my spark plugs. By 5000KM, the jerking is very bad. But when i change the spark plugs, everything will be OK for another 3000KM then I must change the plugs again.

The plugs look black at the bottom.

Any idea what the problem is?

Jerky in the mornings

I'm currently using my friend's very old Proton Saga 1.5s year 1987. The car is always jerky when I drive in the mornings but after 15 minutes of driving it's okay.

The problem is like this:

When I drive in the morning I have to press the oil a lot in first gear when just beginning to move, if i let go the oil pedal the engine will die, even if i still fully press the clutch. But after about 15 minutes driving, everything becomes okay. My RPM is at 1000.

Why is it like this?
And once a mechanic told my friend that the car has to be started everyday. I can't figure out the reason for that. Any idea why?

Also, my 1992 1.3s Saga feels so much more powerful than this car. This car feels like it can't go any faster after 90km/h, tekan tekan after so long only reach 110km/h. But the FC is for this 1.5 better than my 1.3.

Nilai To Batu Caves (LRT)

Is there a website or something that shows the LRT routes and stations?

I want to go to Batu Caves, from Nilai.

There is a Nilai LRT station but the closest to Batu Caves is Sentul station. (I think, am I right?)

Can someone tell me, from nilai, which station must i stop to change LRT, and take the next one to where, or must change somemore? And from there take what to Batu Caves (Jalan SBC, not the actual Cave)

Cheap liquor

Referring to those 170ml bottles of liquor -35% alcohol. selling for about RM7
eg. vodka, dry gin etc.

I usually buy 1 litre Vodka that cost RM120 -40% alcohol.

Has anyone tried this, is it poisonous or anything? How's the taste?
If it tastes the same, why not get this, so much cheaper.

Anyone tried it?

Any of you guys notice that Nescafe - the normal black bottle - does not taste like it used to?
Something is different, the usual aroma is missing and now you need more for one cup.

I've noticed the difference since 3 or 4 moths ago.

Where to get tiny bottles of liquor?

Around Ipoh area... Where can I get those tiny bottles of liquor like those found in the mini fridges in hotel rooms?
I tried the one at Jln CM Yussuf, but they got only large bottles.

Lights and meter lights not working [RESOLVED]

My car is Proton Saga Megavalve 1992.

Both the small lights next to the headlamps are not working. But the headlamps and high beam work fine.
The meter lights also don't work, (just the backlight don't work) but others like the brake, fuel, highbeam, oil pressure, door open indiactors and signals work fine.

I think its fuse problem, but i don't know which is the fuse. Any idea where the fuse is? or is it some wiring issue?

Spark plug problem

From my 2002 Iswara.
Take a look at my spark plugs, only 4900KM since I last changed and so terrible. Had to change early because my car was jerking badly.

Why is it like this?

2 plugs got oil, why got oil there?

Distributor plug, got green/brown stuff

I have an old saga MegaValve. What can I do to make the driving more pleasurable. (nothing like serious engine stuff)

Mainly because I am bored and want to explore the car more. Anything to seal, screw, tighten, grease. I want something that I can do to feel the difference in any way.
