SOS: How to get to China, si chuan from Malaysia?

Hey guys, my frens and i are planning to go to Si chuan, China for Volunteery job next month. But we havent got our air ticket! i've been searching for a few airlines, but most of them dont have direct flight to Si chuan, the only one --> China Southern is bit pricey for us, (as we're going there to spend $ to help ppl not earing $ or to enjoy, so we dont wana spend so much)

So, the point is, is there any suggestion? to get to si chuan, from either penang, kl, jb or sgp? or even the nearby province and then get train to si chuan?
