something wrong with my pc

hey. i really need your help. something's wrong with my pc. i clicked on the user and then only the wallpaper showed up, no icons, no start bar, cant right click. only can use crtl + alt + del to start up programs. can also online. so, i really dont know what happen to my computer. need your help to fix this. any idea? thanks!

printer doesnt work

hey. i really need help!!

my printer doesnt work and the error message was it cannot communicate with the computer. so i tried taking out the usb cable/restarting the pc/everything but still cannot print. then, i read the troubleshooting tips and there write if there's a miscommunication, i should uninstall the whole thing and reinstall back. i did exactly that and now i cannot install it back because apparently, it cannot detect the usb cable.

i think it's the usb cable that is at fault here then, but how can i be sure of that? and how do i fix this? and if it's really the usb cable problem, where do i get a new cable???

btw my printer's model is Dell Photo All-in-One printer 924 if it helps.

lol this might sound like a stupid problem but i dont know where else to go. hope all you pros out there can help me, as you can tell, i'm a noob when it comes to all this.
