Anybody interested to join me and a friend in a CHEAP yet enjoyable holiday outing to an island resort? To be exact, it’s Coconut Village Resort, Pulau Sibu, Johor!

We are looking at 3 days & 2 nights stay at Coconut Village Resort. This Coconut Village is way cheaper alternative compares to Sibu Island Resort (I have a small budget only, hehe). It is RM150.00 per person per night comes with boat transfer two ways, meals and accommodation. Some rooms have air-con, some just with wall fans.

Well, for this cheap price do not expect 5 stars accommodation yah.

Seriously, this is a simple Kampung style resort with basic amenities run by Chinese family but STRICTLY no pork allowed here. So, they claim everything is HALAL (err.. but they do sell beers though..) kekeke..
They have several sharing washrooms (about 8-10 units, if I’m not mistaken) for the ground and upper floor. No hot bath here, hehe.. We will be sharing rooms, some with 3 and 4 pax and other rooms cater for 8 pax.

I have been to Coconut Village Resort 2 years back. The place is really for those who want to relax and enjoy friends and family companionship with the breeze blowing from the sea. I would very much like to have friends (old or new) to join in this holiday outing.

Pass time by playing mahjung, cards, ping pong or maybe some outdoor stuff like volleyball or even trekking. Of course, there’s always fishing for the Fisherman wannabe, like me! If not, sing your heart out, they do have karaoke system there but do bring your own CD unless you’d like to sing Chinese numbers from the 70’s.

I’m from Petaling Jaya (PJ), so it will take about 6 hours of driving from PJ to Tanjung Leman Jetty (Johor). Yes, you will need to arrange your own transport please. We can meet up somewhere and start travelling by midnight, by then we will reach the Jetty around 6-7am. Have breakfast, while waiting for the speedboat to pick us up around 9am.
