Question about Head shape due to Vacuum Delivery

Appreciate if i can get some help from you all.

My brother's baby was delivered using the vacuum method, and now the baby's head is cone shaped. The baby is about 1 month old, and the head is very coned.

May i ask from all your experience? Did your baby head return to normal?
Any successful methods you tried to get the baby head back to normal?

Starting a new PC building business

Well! it happened..

I've lost all my investment monies on the stock market. or more accurately, on some risky leveraged volatility options.

And now im back to square one.

So.. now:

i am considering starting a PC building business. and perhaps this could be the new journey of a lifetime.

I do have some experience assembling PCs. I have built my own personal computers for the past 10-15 years. Mostly buying the parts from lowyat. And i do enjoy the process. But enough of that for now.

Apart from my little sharing above, i was thinking perhaps i could get some good advice from the well-versed community of LYN.
With ChatGPT encouraging me on, and Shopee on to source some fair priced parts, im thinking i could at least try something here.

Some questions that perhaps some of you may have the answers..

1. Alot of those small computer stalls in lowyat mall, i know alot of them get their parts from the wholesaler located in the mall, (im not sure what the wholesaler names are, but i think one is BrightStar), i am wondering whether they would sell to me, as a small time startup pc builder. I assume they sell to retailers at a competitive price. Any idea if this is a good way to get parts? (apart from buying on shopee)

2. Which platforms should i use to sell (or post ads)?
Some names i can think of: Shopee, FB marketplace, mudah.my
or create my own website with order page?

Hi Guys,

My Radiator fan motor burnt out twice. I am looking for a wireman / electrical expert, but i dont have any reliable contact.
The shops around my house all quote to change the fan motor only. They dont know how to service or find root cause.

Anyone can reccomend me a good and honest wireman / electrician shop?

Electric shock from Speaker audio jack & buzzing

Hello Audiophiles,

I recently bought a Logitech Z313 speaker (2.1), and when plugged into power, the 3.5 mm audio jack gives off a slight electric shock when touching it.
When the jack is plugged in, (to my pc or phone), there is a low volume buzzing sound coming from the speakers. it can only be heard when putting my ear near the speakers.
I noticed this same buzzing sound with my old EVO speakers.

The speakers only have a 2 pin plug. Could it be bad earthing issue?

Will this damage my PC motherboard in the long run?

Question about Retrenchment / Severance

Hi All,

I have been reading all i can google about retrenchment / termination and severance.

All i can find is that employee making less than RM2,000 wages is protected under employment act. And if you make more than rm5000, you are not protected.

Now my company told me my last date of employment is 7th April. But they didnt give me any more details. They didnt say whether it is retrenchment or termination or what. And they didnt tell me anything about severance. They keep delaying saying i will be given more info closer to my last date of work. Not even an official letter saying my last date.

Are they able to screw me by paying me Zero severance? (if my contract or offer letter has no mention of severance)

Polyester filled mattress protectors

Argh~!

I have been shopping around for Mattress protectors, ever since i got my new mattress.
But the ones i have bought so far are filled with polyester which is super HOT! i cant sleep at night, even with aircon, coz the matttress protector is trapping and reflecting all my body heat.

I have tried to find a full 100% real cotton one, but after three attempts, all of them are found to be filled with cheap polyester.

Even the known brand akemi. Filled with something that isnt cotton.
Haih.. im about to give up.

Polyester is just too cheap in the world we live in.
I dont mind that it is recycled from plastic bottles:

No transparency in Islamic Home Loan

I took a flexi-islamic loan from Ambank a couple months ago. And i make additional payments sometimes, to help reduce the principal borrowed.
Now when i check online, i cant see any details on my payments, my principal amount, how much my remaining principal is, etc etc.
There is nothing on their website except their "imaginary" ceiling amount (assuming 9.99% interest till end of loan repayment).

For this reason alone, i highly do not reccomend anyone take an islamic loan. There just isnt enough transparency.
I do not feel my additional payments are paying down my principal, and there is no way to check, except perhaps go to the bank and ask them to print me a statement.

Anyone else have a problem with Islamic loan zero transparency?

Spectacle coating UV420 vs multicoat

Hi All,

I went to renew my glasses a week ago.
They offered to replace my lens with Multicoat lens for RM250.
But they introduced a special "blue-light" lens, they call UV420. Which sold for RM380.

I ended up getting the Blue light lens, as they say it can reduce harmful light from LED screens.

But the thing is, i am finding it quite annoying that i see reflected light from my rear. These lens reflect alot of blue-purple light. Which is very obvious from front and back.

I went to google it, and i couldnt find much except for marketting websites promoting these blue lens.
And that Blue lens coat is a "single" coat, and cheaper than Multicoat.

Have i been cheated to pay for expensive lens that is cheaper quality?

Update!
The spectacle shop called me suddenly and asked me to come back to change the lens. Apparently their supplier sent them the wrong coated lens. i got the cheap coated lens, that reflected alot of blue and purple.
The new lens i got now, it has a slight greenish colour when looking at it. still reflecting blue. less purple.

Now the reflection from rear is much much less. i would say 90% less. not noticeable like before.!
=) happy.

MITRA WC

Hey guys,

I've been a holder of Mitra-WC warrants for a while now. and have been clueless of why the Warrant + excercise price was always lower than the stock price.

Is there a significant charge to excercising the warrants?

Currently the warrant price is RM 0.675. Excercise price is rm 0.60, to get 1 share of Mitra which is RM 1.34
A profit of rm 0.065 per share.

I am aware of the RM 21.20 processing charge for excercising warrants. but apart from that, shouldnt it be a clear profit.

10,000 warrants to 10,000 shares, profit of RM 650 minus any processing fee.
100,000 warrants to 100,000 shares, profit of RM 6,500 minus any processing fee.

Am i missing something here?

Strange sterring after changing tires

Hey guys,

I changed my tires yesterday, and when driving home i found the steering to be very different.
When i turn my steering wheel to make a sharp turn, then let go of the steering wheel, instead of the steering wheel return to straight position, the steering wheel turns even more!

Have anyone encountered this before?
I called the tire shop, they said they only did alignment, and should not affect the steering.

The whole story:

1. My old front tires were worn out, reached the thread mark indicator.
2. I bought two tires, and the shop placed them in the rear. The two old rear tires were placed to the front wheels.
3. The Rear tires are slightly larger, 225/45R18, compared to the front tires 225/40R18
4. The shop did alightment and balancing for all tires.
5. they took the car for a short test drive before giving me the tires.
6. When i was driving home, i found the steering was strange, but expected it was due to new tires.
7. I went to pump air, and found the tire pressures to be all random, 40psi Front Left, 30 psi rear left, 35 psi front right, 38psi rear right.
8. They aligned my car with different tire pressures.

Any of these reasons could cause my steering to "over turn / over rotate"?

Normally when i let go of the steering wheel, the steering will auto return to straight.
But after changing tires, the steering sometimes turns even more when i let go of the steering wheel.

I noticed it turns alot more when i carparks, making sharper turns.

The shop i called says they cant do anything about that.

Any ideas?

Fallen object from Lorry

Hi All,

I was driving along Federal highway when a large object, size of 1ft x 1ft x 3ft rectangular shape, fell off the lorry/mobile crane, a hit my car bumper. I believe it was a block of wood.

I have stopped the lorry and snapped pics of the license plate and company logo, and also the unsecure wood on his lorry.
The driver gave me his boss phone number, which i tried calling, but no answer, maybe because it is night now.

This case, can report to police and claim his insurance?

Also, since it is holidays now, the police station wont be open till monday. Pass 3 days liao. i believe we must report within 3 days right?

I am buying a sub-sale condo unit @ Cheras for around RM235,000.
The Legal firm is in KL, (Jalan Cheras) and gave me a quotation below.
I find the total is much much higher than those estimates i find online. Can you spot any overcharge?

Legal Fees (Before GST)

Memorandum of transfer = RM 200
CKHT 1/ CKHT 2 @ RM200 = RM 200
Entry & Withdrawal Private Caveat = RM 350

Official Assignee search fee = RM 50
CTOS search = RM 50
Transport expenses = RM 250
