Hi All,

Wanted to look for a office/shop for our online business selling plants, nearby or in Desa Park City up to Sungai Buloh area. Mainly as an operation office and we can decorate and maintain your place FOC with our plants as well.

Due to budget, would like to see if any partial lot available for sharing? We only need very small space at the moment, less than 400sqft is sufficient.

Will need a side with natural sunlight for the plants to live, so the place preferably attach with a balcony/window/porch/courtyard where we can keep some plants inventories. Example -> attached image shows an office beside a secured courtyard.

Anyone know of a suitable place, please recommend! Thank you!!

Rooftop/indoor garden shop

Hi All,

I have a small business selling plants and gifts online. We need to get a place to host the business as it is growing and we also need to hire an employee so need a place to work.

Because of shoestring budget, we are looking for a place that is under-utilised such as roof top or any empty space in a co sharing workplace that will be suitable based on below criteria:
1) need morning sunlight for the plant (facing east in the case of window)
2) a small space for work bench to do potting, will have soil and hence a “balcony” or outdoor area will prevent messing up the whole premise
3) a small desk to house printer and computer for administrative task - fits one person will do
4) we can build simple racks for plant storage and inventory storage but the premise need to be secured (avoid random people stealing)
5) preferred location within Kepong to PJ area. Less than 800sqft - rental around 500-1000,
6) we don’t mind a rundown place(old home or old office) and we can remake the place based on rustic garden theme but the location must be SAFE, as most of the time only one lady florist will be there.

Ideally, we will make the space into a mini garden with plant displays and sales so customer who choose to walk in can do so as well, though it is very limited now since all orders are generally placed online.

Hope can fuel some discussion on how to look for such a place as conventional website and app doesn’t seem to have what we want. Thank you in advance!

/k, when you guys poslaju something, you have to fill a form, do you usually write the item description in truth and the value in truth, or just put some nonsense to not reveal what you are sending?

The question is, if you put value, will they ask question or ask to pay custom, and will people steal if they know what is inside. value of goods is about RM100-300, and are completely legal items.

I was filling the form in truth, but got raised eye brows from my friend saying not to put in the real description and value??! Since its trackable by poslaju, shouldn't the postmen be responsible if the parcel go lost or stolen anyway?

M-Residence Phase-1 Make Over

Hi all sifus,

I just bought a new house 22x80 Double storey linked house last year. Getting key this month end. Planning to start renovation soon. I have designed the house using 3D software, shall post the model later when I'm on my laptop. (Outside now)

Problem is, there is a 400sf area on g floor I plan to elevate 5" up, and install wooden flooring. People tell me not advisable for g floor due to moisture. Not sure what's the best method to do this, please advice.

Consideration:
1) Wood type -
solid or laminated, I've excluded engineered wood due to the bottom layer plywood which will rot quickly in moisture
I would love to use solid wood, though costly, but with much better wood effect.

2) how to elevate it(the base for flooring): cement vs wood platform
One contractor told me to use decking wood as platform frame, then put anti moisture plywood, then either laminated or solid wood above. Another said cement elevation will be much solid. What is the cost roughly to build wood frame which can stand moisture compared to cement slab?

From my research, the total cost for this 400sf elevated wood flooring, if using solid wood goes up to 15k++

Another question, anyone use Artwell aka heyer for wardroom and kitchen cabinet before? Searched the forum, few people asked same question but nobody replied/review.
