hi guys, hope u can help me with this problem.

my pc suddenly shut off when i open 3d software e.g. artlantis . that was around 2 months ago.

last week when i was using autocad it also shut off.

the pc never give me any problem when im using simple application such as media player and such.

it didn't restart but it shut off suddenly.

im not really sure what the problem is.

there's one time when my pc shut off and the system was damaged. i had to reformat as i cant open my software because the dotnet file was damaged.
and i cant reinstall it without reformatting my pc

the usual problem when a system shut down suddenly is when the power isn't sufficient but my pc didn't restart but it shut down permanently...

i really am confused

please give me ur analysis

Hi to everyone, i need some help in upgrading my pc as i dont know too much about hardwares

im looking to upgrade my pc. i've been using the same system for almost 1 yr and a half now.
my pc is primarily used for rendering 3d graphics - im an architecture student and im also an avid gamer.
my current system in my opinion does not suffice to the latest game and the rendering got slow too.
so, i am looking for recommendations to upgrade my pc in processor and graphic card

it would be best if u could give me several options of either;

processor (which serves better for me?)

i- quad core 9550
ii- i5
iii- i7

i've been told i hv to change motherboard if i go for the new i7/i5. please recommend a suitable one.

graphic card

i have no idea which is good.seems too many to me.haha
but maybe i want to restrict the budget to around rm600.
if u think i should get more than 600 please recommend to me and why.

oh, and im not sure if my power supply would be enough to support the new system. mine is cooler master 500 max power 360W. i really dont know actually which spec to put in.haha
