Hi, i am not following the computer hardware for long time. Now, my tv, hdd player, astro have broken because of lightning. Now, i am thinking of building low power consumption htpc to replace my broken ac ryan.

My question is, do the low end AMD APU like A4 capable to play 3d movie? Or i need to get a6 apu and above? If not amd, what is the best processor for htpc, low power, able to play 3d movie, and cheap. Kiki. I have to buy new tv also

Hi all, again, when time to upgrade the system, i will googling around and get the headache to choice which CPU value for my money..my initial plan is change the CPU and motherboard + adding extra RAM..i limit my budget to less than RM700 for CPU..

so, which one is better
1. i5 750
2. phenom II 1055T x6

both are almost same price, anandtech shown almost same benchmark..so, please poison me, which one is better..TQ..and yes, i dont mine change the system, mobo and everything if i picked i5 over phenom

(solved) RADX.EXE..virus?

Here is my problem. Last 2 days my office computer (XP) cant connect to internet. And the CPU usage also very high..even in idle mode. So, it might be caused by viruses. But symantec antivirus, AVG free cannot detect the threat. What i realised, the is some processes in task manager shown with very high CPU usage like "radx.exe", and unknown proses like "service", "winctrls"..after kill those processes, my pc can connect to internet for a while until those processes started again.

When i started angry, i search, where those prosesses hide, than i found it "stay" in system32\scan folder, so, i deleted all the file, the startup registry, and some new file at c:\ (rad.exe)..ok, now i can connect anytime..no problem at all untill i restart my pc, all those problem happen again. arghhhh!!!

I googling around, no info i got about this threat except it is some kind of bot for IRC..scanned using updated definition and now please help me, because my PC at home infected by this threat

I m using samsung 22inch and hd3870..i got no problem running my pc with 1920 x 1080..but , I will lose my framerate with those resolution when playing game..run game lower than 1920 x 1080 res, the image are blur and the font are not sharp..

last time, using old 19 flat crt monitor, i got good frame rate with high graphic setting and shap image and font..

with new LCD, i dont know how to get good frame rate with good graphic setting..i don't care what resolution to run the game..any suggestion?

hi, i got a new system about 1 month..everything run well except sometimes its reboot itself..seem like hardware problem since it just turn off like no power and restart back..sometimes it just run over a minute and happen again..

u can see my system in my siggie.. my 1st tought thats all about power supply..but, why it restart itself? in event of power failure, the computer does not restart itselt..am i right? some click said it might be my processor overheated..but my temp indicator dont show any abnormallity..and there is some feature of my mobo which is control the speed of fan agains procc temp..it can't be..

in window event viewer does not shown any error..and no window pop-up shown something like "window encounter serius error"..hence what should it be? hardware or software?

CPUz didnt recognize overclocked speed..

i overclocked my processor from 2.6Ghz to 3.2Ghz..when i run CPUz, it shown the clock 2.6 Ghz while window properties shown overclocked 3.2Ghz..am i missing something? i using 5000+ BE, so i just change the multiplier and a bit vcore..why?

i planned to use this sapphire HD3650 for my new rig..but i noted the GC come with dual DVI output, not VGA..since i used flat crt monitor that need HD15 female socket on GC, how do i connect my monitor to GC? any converter or adapter comes with GC? or 3rd party hardware needed?

i wanna change my old pc since my p4 make me headache lately..i have no budget to change to high-end CPU..my budget is around rm300 for CPU..i surf all benchmark result over the net and nothing can give me idea which one is better since both are quit same in term of price..

some people said dual core (brother of C2D) better for multi tasking while AMD is good for gaming..i need new CPU for gaming, some photoshop job, MP3 encoding, and many task..
