Hey guys, Want to ask if there's any shop that can repair a dmg-ed hardisk at a low cost? or any DIY solution?

I assumed its caused by shock from a coin about the size of 10cent(rm) falling from approx. 5meter height. It happened when i was running the computer and accidentally dropped a coin from the shelf. Everything runs fine up to there and suddenly I notice a major lag.. I tried to restart it and..... I end up here.

Symptoms:
The hardisk caused an extremely slow loading even when i just switch on. even getting to Bios page can take 5min with this Hardisk.

My rig is open air.. and just on the last day of my exam this incident happened. Its just a 250gb disk but with lots of backup research/assignment/projects.. and hell lots of movies/series in it...

Hd4850 repair?

Hi peoples~
Just wanna know if there is any place where i can get my HD4850 repair in Malaysia.. I broke mine months ago.. kinda sad.. just bought it for a few month =/
Well, i can forget about warranty, i kinda open everything up to check whats wrong.. but only to make it worst. I got my card in the uk anyway, so sending over to repair over here could cost me another card.. so i din bother with it..
Since i m going back soon.. i figure maybe i can get it repair somewhere. or not.. =X

oh fyi, its a Gigabyte model, 1gb memory

hi all,

Anyone here know wats the problem with a mobo that cant oc? The symptoms are:
If OC at greater thatn 260hz from 2.0ghz default to 3.00ghz the mobo would reboot twice n revert back to default setting,
A problem also occur the same time with my graphic processor, bad frames for First person shotting game( below 20 at high mode for cod4 with HD4850?) , but good enough for RTS game. Still finding a solution, is there a chance of damaged board by static from my body..? *my entired room is cover in carpet, n i did not realize this till later..

Any thoughts?

PC after shut down still Auto "On" n "Off"

Hi Guys, How come when ever i shut down my PC, the Cpu fan, Vga fan, and some lights on the mother board will on and off constantly ? its like there's too much power flowing in to the mobo (voltage leaking or something like dat.)... The fan n lights just constantly turn on till u think the computer is starting up.. and then it'll just switch off when I hear the fan reach a "max" speed....and this will continue on forever......On and off, On n off...............................................

I hope u get what i am saying , I seriously don't know how to explain any further.. .....

EASA Cat-B license:

Is there anyone here who is familiar with the EASA Cat-B1 license?
I am currently taking this course in the UK, but its a real mess in the university .... ask a lecturer a question about it.. and you will get a reply "I m not sure... try talk to Mr. bla bla bla.."

This is what i m not sure,
I m doing this course, Bsc Aircraft Maintenance *Engr*. According to the License requirement, We are suppose to pass all exams at 75% (fair enough)... and 2400hour of working experience (Internship with a company approved by Part-147 or 145 i forgot). The problem is, some senior said we have to do the 2400hour working experience withing the "3"years of our course duration. Is this true or just some bull shyt? Its like they expect us to work while studying the course..... and mind you... this internship is not paid to work.. we had to work other part time jobs to support ourself in the UK. that will be "What The F***"!!

Hope someone here have some experience on this...

Need help on a budget gaming pc.

Like on the topic.. i need some advice from the gurus here ^.^

Heres the spec of the parts i m trying to get (or already have)...
E2180
GA- Ep35 Ds3r
Corsair 2GB PC2-6400 C5 XMS2 DHX (2x1GB)
HD4850
500w psu

I already have my HD4850 with me... so the problem lies with the processor i guess...... Its what u guys call bottleneck i think.. A high end VGA, motherboard.. but a low-end processor... Since i just moved to the uk for study... its really expensive to get any processor here..... here's the price i got from online shopping.. E2180, 38 pounds, q8400 95pounds. difference of 57pounds which is about 400rm difference... Not worth the money for me.....

SO! The question is... If I stay with the E2180... Is the performance of the pc, for gaming 80%, graphic processing 20% be effected?

CompaqPresario B2800 -> VGA problem

Hi guys.. Sorry if i m in the wrong section of the forum..

So...I am having problem with my laptop's VGA, X600 se from the model < Compaq Presario B2800>....
Since, I don't wanna get con-ed by those computer shop in my country, Brunei.. so i am asking for help here first...

A few days ago, a Blue screen of death keep pooped up when i play game.

Here's my computer symptoms:::

In the blue screen... it says...
Problem wif the [ati2vagp] <-- dono correct spelling anot.
in the blue screen it says either my driver or my device problem.. "infinite loop cannot complete" if i m not wrong...

So i took the trouble to go to safe mode n uninstall the VGA driver.. every thing works fine after uninstalling... But without vga.. everything seems to be lagging.. even surfing the web.

I reinstalled the driver, but the same thing happens. Only this time.. my computer will hang and show me the blue screen less than a min after i startup my computer.

So... Device or wrong driver?

Gigabit Lan Problem

Alrite, i have this problem, i just bought a new hardisk and installed Xp on it. Install everything needed by the Motherboard.. but when i connect the lan cable, there is no connection at all.(no light showing its connected, the screen shows that its not connected also.
Using MSI-P31-Neo2 <Sucky mobo. really!

What the hell is the problem here?? And when i run this exact same cable on my vista, it shows conencted, but there is totally no packet comming in!
Is there a possiblity that when i install my xP, something went wrong? or is it after i installed. Anyone know? Help?

Just wanna ask, when i have a Installed/Running Vista in a Hard disk from lets say, from PC 1, I moved "Only the Hard Disk" to PC 2 of a different Mother Board, Processor. Should it work or should not?
