Flaws in lowyat.net trading system

Below are my suggestions.

There are some serious flaws in lowyat.net trading system. Con trick like the one I mentioned above can be easily eliminated by enforcing a few precautions like lelong did, namely,

1: In order to open a sales thread, the LYN account holder must verify the following
a) verify that the IC number matches the real name of LYN account
b) have bank-in information be openly available in the profile and matches the IC number and Name of the LYN account holder
c) contact number details to be made compulsory to all accounts who wants to open a sales thread in trade zone.

Additionally,
1: Anybody is allowed to browse around Trade Zone, regardless of any verification. Only opening of sales thread is allowed for verified members.
2: Verified members to be given a tag like the one in safe trader.

Such steps, if implemented, can greatly reduce the number of scams happening in LYN Trade Zone. I strongly believed that many con tactics can be deterred if such moves are implemented. I do admit that it is not easy to implement such rules as it involves government agencies regarding the verification of IC and some change in website structure and programming regarding the restrictions for opening sale thread by verified members. However, as LYN members hits 200k members and growing, such precautions is worth the investment for the long term growth of this site as the main e-trading point of Malaysia and neighbourhood countries.

I strongly suggest LYN to step up the security of Trade Zone before it is tarnished by more similar con case.

9th March
-Dealt with him to buy Q6600 retail with box for rm450.
-Asked for HP number, said lost, no hp
-Asked for house number, said not at home, in ipoh
-Ask for office number, got reply (you dont trust me? do u think im conman? no deal)
-Fine, trusted him
-Googled maybank account, clean
-Proceed with deal
-reason for female account name holder = mum's account.

10th march -
-Banked in rm450 to account
-bank account info,
-see 15th march for more info

12th March
-expecting parcel, didnt arrive, pmed 19400
-excuses given

-got reply saying its already posted, was told to expect to receive it by monday
-asked for tracking number, no more reply from seller till now
-seller last online at today (14th March, 3.44pm), so no reason for him to not reply my tracking number

14th march
-edison1437 pmed me regarding the sincerity of 19400 since from one of his thread i replied i paid and awaiting postage. Asked if he is buying anything from 19400, and below is his reply

-19400 came online at around 1am

SHOCKING! MSI X48C

I was removing my mobo to change my bracket for my heatsink.. and then something caught my attention when i looked closer to my MSI X48C. I saw a gap between my SB chip and heatsink. My instinct told me to remove to mobo heatsink to reapply a new thermal paste. And here is what i found.

The protective layer of the conductive tape WAS NOT PEELED OFF! WTF MAN?!

Less than half of the southbridge chip and touching the heatsink, as seen on the untouched thermal paste.

And the last heatsink below the southbridge is actually cooling NOTHING.

The thermal paste used by MSI is almost solid. Took me like 20mins to wipe it all off.. or should i say, scrub it all off. It is like melted hardened rubber when u try to remove it. I actually used to knife to scrub the NB old thermal paste off. Thats how hard it is to remove it.

Really disappointed with the quality control of MSI.

My next board will certainly be Gigabyte or Asus.
