Hi,

I am using hotlink hyc package.
My data plan died yesterday midnight, those days there used to be reccuring auto subscription.

I woke up on 7am this morning and found on 6.45am there is already a sms saying my data usage >RM10.. Where my phone is connected to wifi all the time.

Quite upset as my money has been depleted quite a few times because of data plan expiry.

Example 28 Jan - 26 feb supposde to be 30 days, if I top up on 26th i will loose 1 day of validity, if I top up on 27th I will be charge of data if I am not careful to switch off data before I sleep..

Hope you can provide a solution to this.
Hi Maxis,

Regarding top up, i always have a few queries on it.

For RM100 reload, we usually get extra RM5 credit right?
Also any idea where can I buy reload using credit card, less and lesser store accepts credit card purchases for hotlink reloads nowadays.
I wondered why your maxis pay portal limit credit up to RM80, I wouldn't eligible for the extra credit.

Thanks

Thanks.

Hi,

I have tried to troubleshoot my PC a few times since 2 years back. It just gave random freezes upon start up.
I have done most of the diagnosis test I can think of but still it's giving me problem.

I am contempting to upgrade few of my components now because some of it is quite aged now.
Thinking of a Ram + GC + processor and Mobo upgrade.

I am not sure of budget yet, want to keep it as low as possible.
I am actually happy with my current system as I have no demanding usage.
Not sure if my current PSU can cope with the new upgrade as well

my current rig is in my signature.

Random Freezes

Hi,

I have a 5 years old desktop computer that recently (not really that recent) just that it's getting more frequent now..
The computer upon boot would freeze by itself (randomly).

I used to suspect it's due to OS problem but now it appears it also freeze during bios load up too..
It seems to be the fault of SSD initially but when I remove it, the computer would still freezes.

The weirdest symptom is that, if the computer does not freeze during start-up, you can use the computer for days without having to worry about anything.

I have check the computer hardware and sure that it's not an overheat problem.

Anyone can help me out? I am clueless where to diagnose my computer.
Thank you very much

Supplement - Necessity or not

Lately (quite sometime actually) there's a surge in taking daily supplement. It can be vitamins, fish oil, honey, spirulina and many many more. It has been claimed that our daily meal consumption does not cover full range of vitamins and minerals we requires.

It is evident that when you walk into any pharmacy, they would start asking you to drink this, eat that, to the extend the more the merrier (30 spirulina pills per day anyone??). Obviously that pharmaceutical firms are making big money. Worse when you have unknown source of supplement which claimed to have miracle effect.

So my question is that, has supplement become a must have everyday, good to have daily, or not necessary at all. My friends which is active in sport take supplement that cost them few hundreds per month, the number of pills that they swallow is even more than what I consume when I fall sick.

Due to kiasuness i also start taking royal jelly and omega fish oil as of lately, also regarding dosage it seems that supplements is not tightly control, everyone seems to claim the more the better, supplement pills can range up to 2000mg (biggest I have seen).

What is your thought on this matter.

p/s: pardon my poor English, have not write a lot since sometime

My phone LCD is not working now although phone is still perfectly workable.. The backlight is working

I bring my phone to a Nokia Care Center in Metro Kajang and they actually asked me to replace the LCD ribbon / slide ribbon instead of sending back to service center (warranty just passed last month).

I was wondering is it normal for slide phone to have problem with their ribbon? Especially with sliding units?
Anyway she claim original ribbon is expensive...

Just downloaded the service manual I was thinking to actually dismantle and replace it myself, only to know where to obtain the ribbon.,.

HDD RAID ERROR

There's this happening again.. my harddisk is having raid error (0) again, it's the 2nd time now.. Somehow I have feeling that one of my hdd is failing (among the raid array). Therefore out of no choice (cant even login and backup), I tried to delete the raid configuration and reinstall my OS.

For some odd reason now my pc would always just stop responding middle of nowhere and even my windows setup cannot be completed. Do you think if there's a failing HDD being plug into your system it would just made your entire system being very unstable?

And also another annoying problem I had is that windows 7 setup takes forever on my pc (even before), but it seems fine over that other computer. It there a possibility that RAID made everything worse than fixing it?

Nokia Car Charger

Hey guys,

I need some help here, I just purchased a nokia car charger from Lowyat today. While surveying various shop, i found there's various model around.

When I was in Jaya One, I was told there are two type which is the original Zitron warantty and the AP warantty charger, priced at RM110 and RM40 respectively. I couldn't remember the duration period, I was shown that Zitron model was sticked with a genuine sticker while AP have a different packaging.

Today when I asked in lowyat, I was told by shop 1, RM80, original 3 months warantty, if anything just bring back to us, obviously it sounds like AP warantty. They claimed that the charger come with a circuit which prevent electrical overshoot during acceleration.
While surveying in shop 2, I was quote @ RM88 for original and RM40 for the non original.

I proceed my purchase @ shop 2, RM88 for the charger, to my surprise he took out a charger from a plastic bag and told me this is actually the loose pack, the charger actually come without a genuine sticker and sounds like second hand goods when I check back home.

Guys I would like to know if there actually a loose packaging for a car charger which is actually genuine, he also claim that you can claim your warantty in any nokia center within 6 months. What worries me is that if it's a counterfeit product which actually damage my phone in the end..

Thanks for any input in advance =)

I would like to know is it that all HDTV only output sound channel in optical mode in stereo?
I am in the dilemma of choosing TV which can output a proper sound channel from my TV to receiver in surround sound as my receiver doesn't support HDMI.

Furthermore with the recent black level issues regarding Panasonic Plasma, would it be a reason to avoid Panasonic for the time being until it's fixed? I have to be quite hurry for my purchase, if possible by March. What's the other option if not for Panasonic, budget around RM6k for a 40"+ panel
