hi all
any of you with acer xv270p? How do you get the HDR working?
Tried to install the driver, still not able to show 144mhz, and hdr capability show 'no'. Tested with another hdmi cable also, that 1 for xbox can get hdr+4k also doesn't work

also, the monitor detected as "xv270 v" instead, even the acer display widget also detected the monitor as xv270v

I'm using win10 21h2, intel uhd630 integrated display + gtx1650....anyway to get the hdr & 144mhz working?

Tampered glass/acrylic sheet for display cabinet

Hi guys, does any of you knows where to get affordable tampered glass or acrylic sheet for my display cabinet? Any supplier within klang valley?
At first I was considering glass, but then I got kids at home, so I switch to tampered glass... but it's 3-4x the price of my cabinet, then I am considering acrylic sheet as well, if it's cheaper. Also, if acrylic sheet... which should I go? cast or extruded acrylic sheet? what's the different ah?
I'm looking for 5mm & 8mm respectively, does anyone know what's the market price? It's calculate by square meter right? So if I came across any supplier then I know are they charging me fair rate, thanks in advance.

How to fix loose hinge?

Hi guys
after many years the hinges for my glass door @ bathroom is very very loose,
i tried to tighten the screw, but bigger/longer/wider screw thread/etc screw but eventually it will loose
and the headache part is, the hinges was on aluminium frame (i assume) and inside is hollow so no way i can put a wall plug to hold

HR kept deny BYOD claim, can i lodge complaint?

Hi guys, just wondering if any of u are familiar w/ industrial court?
i just quit my job about 1m ago, and my last claims i included BYOD (laptop subsidize) and HR rejected it,
i have been making multiple attempts of claiming the laptop subsidize, and HR everytime come back to me w/ BS (orally, no b&w).
since i'm quitting, there's no point i "give face" then i demanded my subsidize because it's clearly stated in the company policy,
then she pusing me say i'm not qualify because i work < 24m, but inside company policy no t&c, then she told me entitlement is in another doc,
also the company have the rights to amends whenever they like.

Then she told me BS like how bout i try to talk to my supervisor at that time etc etc ...blah blah yada yada,
basically i think she's not processing it because she don't want the hassle & management are not aware of this,
what I wanted to do is actually raise the awareness to management, but right now she's running in black box operation so the comment cannot be pass through.

Can i file complain or something to industrial court, and anyone know how's there process are like?

hi all,
my kitchen got burnt socket ... that's probably due to the previous electrician that I engaged during renovation,
i asking for more power socket @ kitchen and that bugger just daisy chain from my dry kitchen,
the particular area serves all power hungry appliances (fridge, thermos, kettle, rice cooker)
and eventually it overload and wall socket got burnt mark
(previously the socket kill several kettles but I didn't realize, I though the cheapo kettle i got not lasting)
now I need a reliable electrician to advise what to do or repair.

and also I think my house wiring got slight problem, the bulb in downlight spoil easily,
so far within 4 years I have replaced like 20-25 pcs
and some of the wall switches (especially those with light indication), when I turn on/off, sometimes can see some sparks

For one time I saw some neightbour contractor (wireman) hanging around in the renovating house,
I went over and explain briefly (lights was fluctuating that time), they just tell me the wiring need to tighten up on the fusebox,
brought a screwdriver and come over my house just to tighten up all screws in fuseboxes ...
then charge me lima puluh for that...
it does fixed the fluctuating lights problem, but i'm still feel the wiring/etc need to inspect by a good electrician,
and these days very hard to get a reliable 1, they will come chin chai buat then charge u and go,
they wouldn't advise or tell u a thing if you ask. I need someone that can assure me the wiring/etc is okay, and we're safe in that house.

Please, if you do know any reliable wireman in klang valley, please leave me their contact.

Hi guys,
just got my mirouter (with hdd - bcm4709) about a week ago,
and then... *bam* not compatible with Unifi due to lack of VLAN tagging
didn't check the spec before bough it ... since it was OpenWRT based I though I'll be safe... who know .... haih

After that I went to google abit and found out you could actually do vlan tagging in CLI,
enabled the SSH daemon then login .... totally no idea how to configure it
read up abit ... sounds like /etc/config/network should be the 1 to "manual adjust"
now the content read something like below

btw, checked the dmesg ... 802.1Q VLAN blah is there ... but when i lsmod cannot find anything like that...does it matter?

hope any OpenWRT sifu can give some advice on this.
and other OpenWRT user (especially broadcom chip) can you post your /etc/config/network here?

wanna upgrade my mbp 2010 13" (model 7,1) to 12gb of ram, (btw the ram is 1067mhz)
couldn't find much info about 12gb (8gb is slightly not enough, 16gb is veli expensive)
is that possible to slot in 8gb + 4gb?

what's the price for single stick for 8gb?
if it's not worth it to go for 8gb x 1 then i think the only feasible solution would be 4gb * 2

To get separate audio & video signal from HDMI

Hi guys.

Wondering if any of you know some cheap devices that can separate audio and video from HDMI?
e.g., hdmi masuk then got both hdmi (Video passthrough) and optical/coax output?

I've recently relocate my console rack and then my xbox is too far away from my z680,
the optical cable was not long enough to reach it, and then my TV doesn't not do DD/DTS passthrough, so only PCM 2.0 (stereo) if optical out from TV.

Do a bit of research with uncle google, apparently most ppl uses HDMI switch ($54+/-, dunno it's aussie $ or us $...but blardy expensive),
I don't need the splitting part (1 to multiple) but need to isolate the audio signal from the HDMI ...
is there any cheap h/w can fulfill my requirement? what's the price ?
