I find this interesting, sure some crushes aren’t attainable, like celebrities etc but the radio DJ weren’t talking about celebrities/screen idols.. but some crushes, from work, church, friends that you may fancy.

Short synopsis

movie synopsis

Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum: The New Jack The Giant Slayer Movie

It opens today from what i saw on the banners at GSC. (February 28th)

I haven't caught Hansel & Gretel yet (another fairy tale being brought to life with reimagination from hollywood) but i did with this last night. Well, it wasn't my first, I think it was Tim Burtons "Alice in Wonderland" that had me introduced to hollywoods' insatiable appetite for looking new material in tales we were familiar with. Then came both the effort of "Snow Whites" (the comedy with julie roberts & the kristen/charlize one)

I enjoyed all of them (i know some of you may cringe on Snow White and the Huntsman), one kinda know the whole 'generic' story, who's the hero or heroine, the badass etc, but sat thru to see what develops.

Everyone knows "Jack and the Beanstalk", we all somewhat were introduced this in our younger days in school (though i suspect such poems may be dropped in recent times), An English folktale, where the famous line uttered by the green giant;

"Fee! Fie! Foe! Fum!
I smell the blood of an Englishman.
Be he 'live, or be he dead,
I'll grind his bones to make my bread."

The beginning of the movie lets us introduced to Jack (the little farm boy) whose dad always tells him is bedtime story of the magic beans, the terrible giants & King Eric.
What were weren't familiar is this time there is a young princess! The sweet (young) Sophie we saw in the movie mystery drama "The illusionist" which starred edward norton.

So jack sold the cow (horse in this movie) for some magic beans, well, more of the desperation of a secret monk group who wanted those magic beans away from the hands of a desperate chap. Well you have to have someone evil in every movie.

I loved some of the cast here, Ewan McGregor as Elmont. More delightful here then in phantom of the menace. Beautiful Eleanor Tomlinson, though its not much of her character here, this is Jack's movie by the way

The fantastic Davy Jones is here, no i mean Bill Nighy who gave us the memorable heartless Pirate, lends his voice as General Fallon.

I think its an enjoyable modern fairy tale. Not too gruesome. a good mixture of moments even for the kids & parents. Well, those kids looking for vampire/wolf type of "Twilight" romance will be disappointed. especially those 'Edward (Robert Pattinson) Cullen fans.

I rate this as 8/10 cause i kinda laugh a lot too. You don't need to get so uptight but feeling "yeah, that's kinda entertaining"

October 23. 1992. its been 20 years. you know you are old(er).

The day the world got to know of Mr. White, Mr. Orange, Mr. Blonde, Nice Guy Eddie, Mr. Pink, Mr. Blue & Mr. Brown.

Six criminals, who are strangers to each other, are hired by a crime boss Joe Cabot to carry out a diamond robbery. Right at the outset, they are given false names with an intention that they won't get too close and concentrate on the job instead. They are completely sure that the robbery is going to be a success. But when the police show up right at the time and the site of the robbery, panic spreads amongst the group members and one of them is killed in the subsequent shootout along with a few policemen and civilians. When the remaining people assemble at the premeditated rendezvous point (a warehouse), they begin to suspect that one of them is an undercover cop.

It won't set alight the as one of hollywood top grossing ka-ching$$, nor set ablaze as the talking point movie amongst the twilight/avatar/transformers/twilight (again?) fans.

Heck i think those under 35 probably won't bother watching this. It's a beautiful, little sad, drama comedy film of an ordinary family..well about family, life, the kings<descends from Hawaiian royalty, well as in its novel/movie & Shailene Woodley
It's sad, we won't see many of this type of movies in light of blockbusting swarming twilight kids craving for those typical fare in hollywood.

I liked it, i enjoyed this as i did for War Horse (spielberg's). for the female fans of clooney, be warned, he aint looking suave here, this is as real, without much make up, little pouchy like most middle aged men (like me, but without his (clooney) looks:D).

There is not much to say, it a slow moving movie, my guess is 99.999% LYT forumers will probably dislike (too harsh)/not watch this type of movie. What do they know about life? When most of you grow older, you might understand life, its hardships, who do we deal with kids, the decisions adults make, the failures, parents failures, working like a dog, missing the real thing of life>which is not about money/your salary, material things in our lives & 24/7 working life.

if there is anything to take out from this movie.....just enjoy life, whatever it dishes out, really.

Matt King (Clooney) is a Lawyer who lives in Hawaii with his wife and two Daughters Scottie (Amara Miller) and Alexandra (Shailene Woodley). Woodley is outstanding in her performance of a seventeen year old with the weight of the world on her discovering that she’s not the only one with problems. She portrays this with authenticity. Clooney’s portrayal of Matt is brilliant and probably some of his best work. You can relate to every situation he is in as he fumbles through them trying to find himself and do what’s best for his kids, his wife and his family. Overall, this is a MUST SEE movie! Just be prepared, without giving it away, the end packs a hard punch. Even though it may be expected, you will feel every feeling that Matt is experiencing!

Simply highly recommended. it's a beautiful story. a little old fashioned tale envisioned by Steven Spielberg (adaptation of an old novel but spielberg watched the stage adaptation, & i believed decided to embark on it thereafter)

teenagers, well, i'm pretty sure there are other fares out there for you. Dont think your friends will drag you in for this but if & for all those who are weary of mindless action/sci-fi/horror flicks, this is a welcome change.

I watched it the other day. We could see only a few followed the dialogue, dont know why , just maybe some viewers couldn't understand the language. But to say its heavy dialogue, no it isnt. there is some beautifully crafted war scenes ala like Spielberg's "saving private ryan" but set in WW1.

yes, there is little moments for teary eyes which it's why its a beautiful story.
