Linux gaming rig

I'm thinking of building a linux-based gaming rig to play native linux games and windows games through wine. So far still just angan-angan only la because of $$$, but I was thinking does anyone have any pointers or things to look out for regarding distro and hardware choice? Personally I'm leaning more towards Arch (even though I have never used it before, but I do want a rolling release distro), and an nvidia graphics card.

Thanks.

Recommend a camcorder

Hey guys,

I''m kinda in the market right now for a camcorder. I've been looking at some review sites but conflicting reports are confusing. Needs are as follows:

Type of camera/lens/accesories : Camcorder
Budget : RM2k-3k max
Your Location : Kedah
Preferable brand : Any
Type of photography u want to do : Home videos mostly
Any specific models in mind? : none
Any specific features u want? : I am kind of partial to hard disk models but it's not a priority

Any recommendations?

IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL while installing windows

I just build a new system using Gigabyte GA945GM-S2 mobo, Core 2 duo e6300, a seagate hd, and 2 pieces of kingston ram.

I get BSOD while installing windows with IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL message, and I also get errors while trying to boot the Ubuntu 6.06 live cd.

I ran memtest86+ available on the live cd and it passes every test except test 7 which spectacularly fails with 1730 errors in 2 passes with 889 errors in 1st pass and 841 in the second pass. I ran it with only 1 stick in and I still get the same error on both sticks although I don't remember the exact number of errors on both these runs.

So? Which part should I replace? I'm thinking RAM or motherboard. Suggestions please?
