I want to ask if anybody know when Celcom is going to make the FREE Mate 10 Pro with RM188 plan effective?

I asked the guy at the shop but he also don't know. Strange that they are advertising this already at the shop but they say in the system not yet available..

DIY Permanent Wood Fired Pizza Oven

Hi All,

In March 2016 I posted on my temporary wood fired pizza oven. DIY Temporary Wood Fired Oven
It was more of a proof of concept but it worked to a certain extend. I have since remove the temporary oven and started to build a permanent one.

Planning and build of the permanent oven took me a little over 2 months. Working on some of my free weekends. The permanent oven is now complete.

DIY Temporary Wood Fired Pizza Oven

Hi all,

I would like to share the process I go through to make a wood fired oven. This oven is very good for cooking pizza for the high temperature and also the smoky wood flavor. Very nice for pizza party because when the oven is hot, it only takes 3-4 minutes to get a pizza done. In total, we consumed 16 pizzas in the span of a few hours..

For bread is also ok but the cooking time is longer since bread require lower temperature. Since I was doing this for a party, I concentrate more for pizza.. We put some sweet potato in the fire as well but some of it got burnt..

1. I bought some red bricks from hardware shop. Total cost for 120 pieces is RM60. Managed to get some spare woods as well from the shop. I'm not sure where I can get proper "kayu api" in Klang Valley.

2.Garden table is used as base. The size of the table limits my oven size. It definitely would be better if I can get a deeper oven but this one works as well..

3. I layered the bricks as in the photo. Simple layering without any cements.

4. In the middle, I put a pizza stone because the bricks I bought were not even and were also not clean. However, I should mention that for the first round of cooking, the pizza stone broke into two. And in second cooking, it broke again. I guess the relatively thin pizza stone cannot handle high temperature physical movement..

5. The roof was constructed using bricks and angle irons. This angle irons I bought from hardware store as well. RM15 for 10ft cut into 4 pieces of 30inch each. They charge me another RM5 for cutting the iron. Then I bought one more 30inch from an extra angle iron they have at the shop because I need a total of 5 pieces.

7. The first fire was started. I light the first fire around 1.5 hours before the first pizza was put in. I think I added wood 2 times before the oven reach desired temperature 1.5 hours later.

8. The oven is really hot now, and that's when I put my first pizza

9. It takes around 3-4 minutes for the pizza to be ready! Yummy!

10. After the fire died down, the oven is still hot. This is when I put the bread in.

All in all, it's a cheap way to get a wood fired oven. Construction was easy as well. For next time, I think I would like to improve the following:
- Deepen the oven so I can put more wood for the fire. Need to create a bigger base..
- Level the surface of the oven with better brick. Not sure where can find. All the bricks I found so far were uneven. If anybody know where I can get good even surface clay bricks, please let me know..

iflix supported devices

Hi all,

I've been trying iflix. So far it worked on
Samsung galaxy a8
Iphone 6
Windows 7 - chrome

However, it doesnt work on m8 android media player. Can hear audio but no video. This is frustrating because i have the media player connected to home home theater system with 5.1 speaker and projector.

Anybody know a way to make it work with the m8 media player? Or any other android media player for that matter..
