Information broadcasting on multiple display

Hi,
I'm looking for a way to manage my media (ppt, video, images) from a single computer and broadcast it to multiple displays (TV) at different location.
Currently I'm using USB drive with the TV.
Is there any alternative to this method?

Data Recovery via Target Disk Mode

I have a MBP 2014 and MBP 2019 with both running Catalina.
Recently, the MBP 2014 received an update for the OS and I clicked on it.
After the download, when installing the update, it came up with the low disk place error.
When I first installed on my MBP 2014, i do get that message and was able to clear out some disk space.
Was successful in installing Catalina and using it.
This update in return doesn't allow me to free up my disk.

I'm trying to recover my data from the MBP 2014.
Connected both machines with Thunderbolt cable and turn on my MBP 2014 under Target Disk Mode.
On my MBP 2019, I'm able to see macintosh HD and macintosh HD - Data in disk utility.
However, there is only macintosh HD in Finder.
When I click on it, I'm unable to see my account folder (username) under Users folder.

Appreciate if fellow members could advice if I've have tried this the wrong way and how can i access to my data on the MBP 2014.

Macbook White 13" heat issue

I have a 2008 Macbook White 13" and have loving it from the very start.
For the past 2 years, it seems to slow down or fan is running at a high speed.
I last had a maintenance nearly 2 years back.
Could it be due to the thermal paste?
I dismantled and found the fan to be clean.
Should I have the thermal paste replaced?
What thermal paste should I use?

DIR 505

I need assistance on my DIR 505 which I have purchased a few months ago without being able to use it.
The reason I purchase this device is to extend my wireless connection to my bedrooms which is 1 - 2 floors above my living room which the wireless router TP-Link is located.

My wireless router have the IP address of 192.168.1.1 and it is used to provide internet access for all devices in my living room.
I tried to set up my DIR 505 on repeater mode to provide wireless (internet) connection to my phone and laptop 2 floors above my living room.
When setup, I was able to detect my wireless signal SSID "homewireless" and selected it.
After checking, the DIR 505 is giving good signal of my wireless SSID.
However, when I try to connect to it, it fails to get internet connection.

I suspect that this is due to the fact that the TPLink wireless router is using the ip address 192.168.1.1 whereas the DIR 505 is using 192.168.0.1
Is that the cause of my problem?
I tried to change the IP address of the DIR 505 but failed.

Another question I have is that if I have successfully set it up, how do I know whether my devices are connected to the wireless router signal or that of DIR 505?
Does it matters?

Portable hard drives

I'm planning to buy a portable hard drive but I'm unable to make up my mind on which one to purchase. I uses a macbook and occassionaly will need to copy things to / from windows system. Should I get WD My Passport Essential, MY Passport for Mac (what is the differences), Seagate Freeagent Go Flex or other brands? In terms of reliability, price and durability, which one is recommended?

loud fan noise from macbook white

Intermittently i'm getting a very loud fan noise from my macbook white. That time i'm usually in a aircond room and have ms office, mail, messenger and safari open up. Have 4GB of ram. any idea what might cause this?

Windows 7 & Bootcamp 3.0

I'm thinking of installing Windows 7 on bootcamp so that I could work on applications that is Windows friendly. Is it supported? How do I do it? I have tried several times and it always freezes at the point after setting the system clock. It will usually restart after that and fail to boot into windows anymore. I can hear the DVD running.

usb mass storage device not working

need advice.

just formatted my pc and installed win xp pro. everything is ok except for the usb mass storage which appears in device manager with an ! sign. Thus, if I connect an external hdd or a usb drive, it wont detect it. it will detect my usb wireless adapter thou.

I have tried installing the usb patches from intel website (Intel mobo).

wat else can i do? there is no chipset for me to download.

Logitech V450 Nano laser mouse on Mac

Need advice.

Although logitech website shows that this mouse is compatible with Mac, it appears to me that when i use it with my macbook, i am unable to press tab + command together to toggle the program. I will always go to the last program.

Another instance is that when a page can be scrolled, it will always go to the end when my mouse cursor goes over. Anyone encounter the same problem? Please advice. Once i disconnect this mouse, no problem with my Mac.

I'm getting a macbook white soon and realize that there isn't any card reader on the macbook like most windows based laptop. Can anyone suggest a compatible card reader for macbook? Or does all card reader just work fine with macbook? I'll mostly read on SD cards.
