Business Partner Needed for WiFi business.

I've been providing WiFi internet service in my apartment and my sister's apartment that I think it's time to scale it up to Lowyat friends.

Just before I go deep down here's the pointers.

1. You're not getting rich doing it. Roughly RM500-RM1500 profit monthly. Just extra pocket money.
2. You do not need spend much. All hardware are provided.
3. At first it will not be goyang kaki, you'll be doing your own flyers distribution, installation and payment collection. But after all settled, your customers will be paying you every month for a long duration.

Still with me? Let's go deep.

WiFiKita focuses on monthly recurring customers(plan start from RM68 a month) instead of one off, voucher-based customers. This allows us to have a stable revenue and higher satisfaction through reliable Internet service.

For each partner, we will provide the following:
1. A set of antenna to provide optimum coverage to your apartment.

2. Pre-configured main router with customer management system to manage customer speed and authorization.

3. WiFiKita flyers with your contact information for door/mailbox delivery.

4. Online accounting software to manage customers bill, automatic monthly invoice and payment records.

5. CPE(customer premise equipment) which is a router that will provide local wifi access plus the connection to main antenna. This depends a number of customers that you have.

Interesting, am I eligible to join?

To save everyone's time, we will only accept partners who we think will have higher chance of success. These are the traits that we are looking for:

1. Your apartment must have inside view and located within middle floor.
2. Your apartment have many foreigners or students, or at least near public transportation.
for eg. PV13, PV15,PV16 or PV10 in Setapak

3. You planned to live there more than 2 years. House owner who live in their own house is much preferable.

To actually gauge your monthly income, First you need to count how many apartment units that you can see from your balcony/windows. This include the units from your own block(even if you can't see them). From our experience, take up rate is between 3-6%.

For example, let say total unit viewable from your balcony is 500 units. So 3-6% x 500 is between 15 to 30 customers. So take a number and use table above to see how much you can make each month.

Hi folks, I'm in search for a cheap but decent tripod for my D80. I haven't bought any even though i've bought my camera for a year already. Looking for more than 1.5m with silky smooth movement. The price would be lesser or around RM200. After searching on this forum, I found a recommendation for Profoto EX which costs around RM180. any more recommendation that I should consider?

Do I need a dedicated hosting

The blog is actually managed by my friend but it's on my hosting. As of now, the blog is getting 200-300 users connected at its peak or 20k user per day. under current hosting (hostmonster.com), the site was put in cpu exceeded limit when the user is online at rate of 300 users. The blog is a wordpress and I have used wp-cache to reduce cpu usage.

so he asked me to find a better hosting for him so I was thinking about dedicated hosting. It would be best for oversea server as most of the visitors are from oversea.

I would like to ask fellow forumers whether a dedicated hosting is a good choice or it's overkill. let me know if you need more information. i would like to keep the blog name aside if you don't mind.

attention ipod video's owner

hi there, i just see this incredible video converter for ipod. Ive tried converting some movies and i find that this converter is really awesome.

pros:
1. highly adjustable video/audio quality
2. quite fast converting time
3. can convert multiple videos in one go
4. and the best thing is, the audio and video is synced
5. oh i forgot, and it's free too

cons:
i cant think one coz im really excited. ive been trying to find ipod converter than really does it work for quite a while. ^^

i give a copy to my friend and he converted 700mb avi movies to mp4. he used the best setting for both audio and video. the converted mp4 is 1gb in size haha... we transfered it to ipod then plugged in the av cable and watched it on 29in tv.... we were like wow,its like watching DVD. the color's good, sound's like normal tv, audio/video synced and everything seemed ok.there's no hint that the movie was played by ipod.

i give 9.9/10 for this player (coz nothing is perfert ^^) and i hope u guys can try it...
