Out of respect for my IL (in-laws), me and hubby decided to let them decide on the name (as in the chinese name) of our first child (due in July). My IL are considered the old-school typical chinese.

Few days later, we let them know that we would like to add an english name to it (either in front or the back of the name that they have decided) and IL ask my hubby to tell me I cannot do so. I feel so frustrated and angry at the same time. I know my hubby is in a difficult position because of this.

What would you do if you were in my shoes?
