I passed the first and second selection stage, and my interview is scheduled to be on the 18th February 2013. Was wondering whether anyone here had experience with Towers Watson? What about the benefits and perks, salary, work culture, etc.? I saw some reviews on glassdoor which stated some benefit figures on par with the ones in McKinsey, but I doubt it. haha!

I will be interviewed for the position of Graduate Investment Consultant.

Hi all,

I will be attending an interview with BMW Malaysia for the post of Graduate Trainee (Finance) in Cyberjaya next Friday.

I have been browsing through this forum but could not find much about careers in BMW Malaysia, hence I would like to ask a few questions here:

For the Interview:

1) Just wondering if anyone here had experience with BMW Malaysia interview. What kind of interview structure that I must look at?

2) Dress code. Would normal business attire (Shirt, necktie, slacks) sufficient, or need to wear a suit? I am not familiar with the culture of the Germans, and I believe that some western companies would require candidates to wear a suit during interview.

About the Job:

1) What are the benefits for the Graduate Trainee? At which salary bracket should I be looking at if the assessors ask me about my expected salary?

2) Job scope: is the Graduate Trainee Program include the 5 months training in Munich? I read through the JD, and BMW did mention about 6 months structured training. I am not sure what does that mean. A bit skeptical because it sounded more like an internship program. Haha! Or maybe just me being paranoid.

3) work environment: yay or nay? Oh, this post will be in the Cyberjaya office. How about parking rates? food price?

Actually I wanted to apply for Management Associate Program, but the ads was long due, so I just apply for the Graduate Trainee program. I was wondering whether I can negotiate on joining BMW in the Management Associate Program if my interview goes well. I have a friend who applied for sales in OCBC but he was offered an executive post since his interview was good, and yeah, a higher base salary as well.

Hi..

I would like to ask about the internship in GDex. its full name is GD Express located in PJ. It is a courier company like FEDex and DHL, but it is Malaysian based. the logo looks similar to FEDex's.

I registered to do my internship with them in Accounting, through my University. the PIC said that the placing is confirmed. Currently, I am waiting for offer from BDO and SJ Grant Thornton as well.

which company do you think is the best for me to do my internship? in terms of working environment, workloads, experience, and others? I don't know about the pay at BDO or SJ grant Thornton, but his GDex is offering me quite a handsome pay, similar to those offered by Big 4. what do you think?

i saw my old friend from school, college, primary school, and so on but not my gf..we were having some sort of gathering i guess...
that was yesterday..

just now, i dream the same thing again, but now without my college friends and my gf, but got two new friends whom i did not know...and the place now is in my primary school...

i am an accounting student and i'll be using my laptop mostly for internet, microsoft office applications, spreadsheets and some accounting softwares. however, i will watch movies and play some games during weekend just to relax my mind. I love racing games like NFS carbon.

so which one is the best choice? a C2D or a turion? i wanted to take the CQ45, but the CQ40 is rm710 cheaper. rm700 is a lot for a student like me.

mac new combo drive

i've been thinking bout this for quite a while..

this is the old combo drive from mac mini G4:

8x DVD read, 24x CD-R and 16x CD-RW recording, 8x DVD±R read Combo Drive

and this is from the new intel mac mini:

so does this means that the new combo drive is worse than the old one? anybody got the any new mac with combo drive willing to share? because it is not stated DVD-R read on the new specs, but it is stated on the old specs.
