Hi guys,

Asking on behalf of my friend. With a budget of RM800 what GC is most suitable for him. Current rig spec as follows

CPU: Intel i3 550 3.2Ghz
Mobo: GA-H55-USB3
RAM: 4GB Kingston 1333Mhz DDR3
HDD: WD 1 TB
PSU: AVF 500w (according to him)
GC: Nvidia 9800GTX
Casing: An ATX Casing (according to him)
Monitor: AOC 23" LED HD (not sure what model)

Should i advise him to make a new gaming rig with 2k budget (excluding ram HDD, monitor, keyboard, mouse and speaker) or just stick with this and only change the GC.

Guys i got a AMD AM3 Phenom 2 x4 and a full hd 24" 1920 x 1080 monitor need to pair it with:

Mobo: AMD 970 chipset or better
RAM: 2x2gb or 2x4gb
GPU: AMD 6950 or Nvidia GTX 560 Ti
PSU: any brand 500w or 600w
Casing: any brand
Keyboard & Mouse: any will do

mostly for gaming (BF3, Diablo3 and future gaming needs) some light video & photo editing.

ok sifu's i realy need ur help here.

i just recently flash my mobo bios and when i restarted the pc theres some kind of sound coming out of my mobo. (pardon my bad english here )

1. 1st i thought it was the sound from the hdd i open the casing to look/hear and i found out it wasnt the hdd.
2. so i thought it was from the casing fans but not that either. (i've detached the fan connector, still the sound came out)
3. so i thought it is from my cpu heatsink fan but it wasnt either. (i've detached the fan connector, still the sound came out)

the funny thing is when i played a game C&C3 the sound was gone. when i exited the game the sound came back.

is it possible that the sound came from the mobo??

plz help me here guys

Hi guys, is it worth it to get a after market CPU cooler or will it do with the stock cooler?

if it worth it, what cooler should i get?

i'm asking this because my cpu temp suddenly spiked to 65c from normal 45 to 50c with gaming and watching movies.

is it normal for it to be like that?

Hi, I recently bought the monitor, when i plug all the cable and on my pc and all i got is the display is only in the centre of the screen not wide like it should be. is there something wrong with my monitor or something else please assit me on these. thanks

USB Devices not Recognized

I own a Toshiba U3 TransMemory 4GB USB Flash Drive. I have it for almost a year now. About 2 or 3 day ago I plugged it into my computer and a buble popped out saying something like this "USB Device Not Recognized, One of your USB drive have malfuction, Windows Does not Recognized the devices". I've clicked on the bubble and a "Device Manager" menu popped up and i followed the troubled shooting guide but nothing happen. i've tried to plugged it into other several PC hoping that the PC that i was using got some problem with it, but the same thing popped up. Can some one plz help me on this
