Dilemma of the job offer

Hi,

I am in the dilemma now. I am now working in a MNC and want to change my job to another area of career. Why I quit? Because felt cheated of the job being offered againts what I am doing now. I really don't like and don't know what I am doing everyday. Felt demotivated to work here. I am now just got an offer from a local company who use to support project services for MNC. This local company is a new start-up company and its future is still unknown to me. The salary they offer is the same of my current salary because I do not have the relevant experience. That's why they are trying to lower my salary. But this job really is very close to what I am actually looking for and of my interest. At the same time, I also applied for another companies and still waiting for the interview results and will be attending some interviews next few weeks later. The offer letter will be ready by next week. What should I do? Should I reject the offer and wait for the next? I have been job-hunting more than months and this is the only offer so far.

Feeling really down

Career Dilemma

I have been in the industry for nearly 4 years after graduated in EE Engineering. My dream job is to become a Hardware Design Engineer. But after graduate, I worked as Process Engineer and now working as Software Test Engineer. I am thinking to change back my career path to design engineering and have been applying jobs quite some time and seems like employers are more prefer the experienced one. Now I have the thought to take up a Master program in order to specialize the field of interest and from there start to change my career path.

What you guys think?

Enhance my skills in Master?

Hi,

I graduated in 2006 and have been working for 3 years. I worked as engineer in production and now working as a system tester. My interest is in IC Design but now it seems like very difficult for me to make a turning back to the IC path. I have a though of pursuing a Master in Microelectronics as a part-time student. Thereafter, I could have enhanced my skills and continue to apply for the relevant jobs in the specific industry. What you think? Appreciate your comments.

Some doubt questions for interview

Hi,

If let say the interviewer will to ask me will you consider an internal transfer if there are some other job opportunities in other departments?
If I answer YES, will it be good?
What I worry is if I answer No, means I will look for job in other companies which mean I am the type of person which is not loyal to the company.

Any advices?

Job Interview

Hi Guys,

I have just attended an interview days ago. I think I did quite well in technical questions and non-technical questions. The interviewer even tour me around the lab and the cubicle around to show me their department. After the tour, he explained to me a lot of the company benefits like medical, contractual bonus, seniority level and told me what is the pay range and level if I would be offered later. The interviewer told me also next week HR will call me for the status because there are few more candidates he needs to attend.

Have you attended any interview of the interviewer would talk to you so much of things? I suppose those benefit details are mainly explained by HR if offer extended to the candidate right?

What do you think? Means I have higher chance of getting the offer?

Thanks.

What is your thought?

Hi Guys,

I have attended an interview session about 2 weeks ago and I believed I did quite good during the interview. I should stand a chance of getting the job in my opinion. However, I am worrying of whether I put too much in my expected salary of not getting the job. I remember that the hiring manager did ask me what is my lowest expected salary even I have put negotiable.
I have not received any call for 2 weeks. I tried to call HR but they said they are still in the progress of finalizing the candidate and will get back to me if I am successful. Is it ok for me to straight call the hiring manager to follow up the status or I shall get back to HR again or I shall just sit and wait? I really interested in the job.

I believe that the positions still open as my friend told me that there is no new hire in his department. My friend is working in the same department under the same manager.

Kindly share your thought.

Thanks
