M'sia student seeking for internship in Singapore

hi all,

does singapore's company take in malaysia university's student for internship?

i would like to have my internship in singapore.

My internship period is the last semester of my degree, which means that i am able to continue the job as in permanent position directly after my internship period.

I am currently final year student in Electrical and electronic engineering.

anyone of you all here can of any help?
I need and I appreciate your help very much.

I am eagerly looking for job based in singapore. helpz....

P/S: I have been applying for internship jobs in Singapore through Jobstreet, but all applications are rejected.
The requirement do not state that "only singaporean and PR may apply" or something similar,
and they do not state that not welcome for malaysia student seeking for internship.

I am wondering, is it bcz that Singapore's company only take in their local universities student (NUS, NTU) for internship
and not for malaysia universities' student?

** My academic result is not an issue I think. Cz I have been performing very well throughout my studies. **

HELP:my dell inspiron 1440 dun hav RJ11 modem port

as title, i hav bought a new dell inspiron 1440 during pc fair.

brought it back to home,. only i get to know tat it does not has the RJ11 modem port. It is the port that is same shape, but smaller size than the RJ45 LAN port.

I need the RJ11 modem port, bcz at home, am using tmnet to go online, thus, without the RJ11 port, i cant online at hometown.

RJ11: it is a port to used to connect telephone cable straight to laptop. If the laptop doesnot has tis port, is it means the laptop dun hav internal modem?

so, how can i solve this? any cable or connector for me to connect the modem? is it know as usb modem? where to buy?

it is a digital compact camera,
but, the camera has P,A,S,M mode.
but since i am a beginner & a new user, so i do not know of how to utilize this function

hey guys, i am looking for messenger bag (can sling & hand carry also) for my fren. any recommendation of where i can get nice one?

requirements:
- he doesnt prefer those with many corak like those extreme, body glove & etc
- sling, tote, must can carry tote way & sling way
- leather or some other durable stylish material/fabric &
- can take along even wear formal or casual
- prefer can fit in notes A4 size & also clothes enuf for few days usage
- budget is RM100 and below

I know the budget of RM100 is too low. But it doesnt need to be any famous brand's bag. but must be good looking & georgous when carry along with formal clothes to work or casual for few days trip travelling.

Hey, forumers & successful or even not successful traderers out there?

I am 20 right now, would like to start a business of online selling accessories, gifts, souvenirs, & ect. However, I am a person that havent been buying any things online before. .

But I really would like to start this small "business" to earn some $$$.
Now, I face with some probs here :

1) Is it a good work to do? I mean from the view of time consumption & the profit you can earn?
2) I am not good in HTML & coding things, is it fine to do this type of business?
3) How may I start this? open a blogger account & posts the pictures of my accessories with pricelists there?
4) How to count the shipping / delivery cost? How many days needed?
5) How to ask my customer to do payment? I have no idea what a PayPAl is.
6) And any resellers / dealers / suppliers that have any catalogues to provide me a awesome collection of things to sell?

I know there are lots of experts in the field of online selling in lowyat forum (at least i think so..)

Can you guys help me with one by one steps of how to start this ?

ok..the case is like this..

a fren of mine, has been working in Penang PC Fair recently (18-20April 2008) under Maxis Broadband as a promoter..
they paid rm60 per day & commision is given upon the customers tat the promoter managed to sign.
my fren get the salary on tat las day(20 April), which is rm60x3=rm180
reasonable..
however, the supervisor said tat the commision will only be given afta two weeks, which is afta they confirm tat no customer cancelled the package & by tat time, only they can calculate the commision & will be deposited into the promoters bank account.
reasonable too..

but the problem my fren facing is,
now is ard the thrid weeks afta the PC Fair.
but there's still no $ deposited into the bank account..
my fren tried to call the person in charge twice (once in las week & once few days ago)
the first time my fren called, the supervisor said tat they havnt have the commision calculated yet..
fine..
but the second time my fren called them, the supervisor said tat "many customers tat u sign have cancelled the package & we havnt get ur commision calculate yet..bla bla bla.. "

WTH is tis?!!
afta three weeks & they havnt even manage to calculate the commision?
& didnt even manage to deposit the $ into the bank account?
as u see, my fren is still a college student & he works in PC Fair to earn xtra $..
$ seems important these dayz..

the reason i open this thread is,
I would like to know, is anyone out there oso working under MAXIS BROADBAND as promoter in PENANG PC FAIR(18-20 April 2008)?
Do u get the commision depositted into ur account or not? plz respond, i need to noe.. & pls be serious..
