Crytocurrency Scam?

Read 'Cofin's post on another thread and feel like I potentially have been scammed - any thoughts? Kinda upset now...

Story is:

Met this girl on a dating website and have been chatting to her for quite sometime. She then brings up this cryptocurrency that is still in ICO and tells me to invest - to which I've said no and she even got upset saying she'll send me money to invest (but the gentleman in me turned down).

We've chatted for 2 months and I've decided that if she wants to scam me, instead of buying the coin I might as well try and transfer her the money (at least I have her bank account details) but she said she rathers I transfer her in Bitcoin (I understand this is not traceable) so that is smart of her.

I've decided to transfer her £2.5k worth of BTC (roughly 0.25 coins) and that was a couple of weeks ago - I've then told myself I'm not going to transfer her any more money.

She is now saying she is unable to repay her credit card bills, because she invested all her money in this ICO which doesn't go live until October. She is saying if I want to purchase one of her accounts with ICO coins, she will sell it at a discount - wants me to transfer BTC.

Hello all, looking for a 65" (viewing distance about 13-15 feet) TV around Rm 6k+- and currently have these few models in consideration

Sony 65W850C
Panasonic TH65C300K
Toshiba 65l9450vm (heard can get for rm 6k+ but haven't manage to find it in Miri, where I am located)
LG 65UF770T
Sharp LC65LE275X

The TV will be mainly for movies, 4K or HD is not that important for me but PQ is. I'm currently leaning towards the Sony.. Also, some models are hard to find in Miri (where I am located).

Any other models I can consider or is the Sony a good choice?

Thank you!

SSD Recommendation

Hello,

I'm am currently deciding for a SSD below Rm300. Am stuck with the Galax Gamer 120gb, Intel 530 120gb and Kingston HyperX Fury 120gb. In terms of price the HyperX and Galax Gamer is about Rm 50 cheaper, but the 530 seems attractive. Have read reviews of the 3 SSDs separately but cannot find any comparison of them. Could anyone help me out? Currently Galax Gamer feels like top pick.

Using it with a G3258 + budget H81 mobo.

Thanks a lot.

Anyone travelling to the UK soon?

Hello forumers, not sure if this is the correct place to ask. Wonder if anyone here is travelling to the UK within the next 2 weeks or knows someone doing so? I need help with buying a new smartphone.
The purple Z2 is only exclusive to O2 in UK and they sell it for 600+ gbp (about rm 1k more than Malaysia price). Been trying to ask my friends but have no luck, so I thought I will try this forum. If anyone
can kindly help out I don't mind paying costs and meeting you at the airport when you arrive.

Thanks a lot in advance!

cheesycake trying not to be fat like a cheesecake.

Hi guys, not really sure how to do a neat journal but will try my best.

Some introduction - Am studying overseas, currently on my summer holiday (1 more month to go) and decided to lose some fat during this holiday.

Aims - Ultimately to lower down BF % and hopefully get visible abs.

Current Progress - Started at 95kg last month, followed "The Xtreme Fat Loss Diet" for 25 days. Ended up at around 87kg. Went for a short holiday, put up 2kgs so I'm currently at 89kg. In terms of fat loss I'm pretty sure I can see the results in the mirror, however I get two different readings on two scales. Choosing to believe the higher one (about 22%).

Next target - Aiming to hit near 80kg in the next month and hopefully be near 15-17% BF.

Current Diet - Trying to eat near 1.7k calories a day, having protein + carb meals in the morning/lunch, and only meats + vege at night. Meats are usually lean beef/chicken breast/canned tuna in water. Vegetables I eat all kinds as long as it's not in a fatty gravy like curry. Carbs are a mixture of fruits, white rice or pasta. For fat intake either I eat salmon/eggs/nuts, mostly almonds. Besides that supplementing with Xtend (BCAAs) and Protein Whey.

Weekly Workout - Haven't really got specific. For now I play badminton 3 times a week(mon, wed, fri) (pretty intense, it's a training session.) Planning to have gym days on Tues,Thurs,Sat so it's alternating and want to add 3 HIIT sessions into the week as well. Sunday will be a rest day.

In the gym currently I do Squats,Deadlifts,Bench Presses/Push Ups, Rows, Overhead Presses. Trying to add a few more good compound exercises. I split my workout into 2 circuits, 3 exercises each, 8-12 reps. An example I did today would be

(try to get 12)
Squats x 10
Push Ups/Deadlifts x 10
Rows x 10

After 3 sets
Deadlifts x 10
Overhead Press x 10
Lunges x 10

I try to rest a little only in between exercises, 1-2 mins after every cycle and 3-5 mins between both circuits.

Hope I outlined things pretty clearly and also welcome anyone to give corrections if I did anything wrongly. Feeling very motivated to start this journal and also hope will get a lot of support and help from you fellow forumers.

PEACE

Microphone Input on Asus Sonar Essence STX

Hi guys, I plan to get a Shure SM58 for my sound card for some karaoke on my computer. I've read mixed reviews on the microphone input of my soundcard. Some says that the input is very clear with a good microphone,
while some other reviews say that the quality is not good and a proper mic pre-amp is needed.

Anyone here has experiences with the same soundcard and can give me some good advice on this?

I plan to buy the microphone but if I have to get a pre-amp and the other cables, I might delay it a bit. Have a budget.

Thank you

Hi guys, I plan to use my computer for karaoke. Currently have the Asus Sonar Essence STX and a pair of decent 2.1 speakers. Plan to buy a good karaoke mic and do some singing on my computer (no recording).

I've tried to google around but most softwares I found are either English based only, or looks unconvincing.

Anyone here knows any software that is good and easy to run on a computer? (That comes with a lot of chinese and english songs as well.)

I don't mind paying I just want to make sure I get a good software.

Need help with my diet.

Hi,

I have been on a diet about 2 weeks for now and it has been quite successful. I go on a low calorie diet for 6 days a week, eating only eggs, ham, lettuce, carrots, fruits and oats and wholemeal bread as my only carb intake. On the 7th day everyweek I will bump up my calories to increase leptin levels and replenish the energy I need for the next week. I have calculated that I need approximately 2k-2.5k calories a day (I am 80kgs, 6ft tall, and I do gym sessions on alternate days, 20 years old).

Thing is ever since I went on the diet, my appetite became very small. For instance, today morning I had 2 scoops of protein whey before my lactic-acid based training (about 260 calories, 50g protein) and then after my workout session I had a piece of skinless chicken breast fried with cabbage and carrots (about 100 calories for breast, 40-50 for the vegetables). So I am at about 400-450 calories now. I will take 2 scoops of whey again later in the night (another 260 calories) and probably a sandwich (2 bread, 2 ham, 1 egg, lettuce) that will be about (200 + 100 + 100 + n/a) calories so about 400.

So by the end of the day I will only have about 1.1k-1.2k calories. This is far off from my recommended calorie intake and I am very worried that this will bring me into starvation mode soon. I have been losing about 2 kgs per week for 2 weeks and it is moving on fine. I do weight training alternate days and play badminton on rest days. Everything seems fine at the moment but my calculations are scaring me because it seems that my calorie intake is too low. And maybe because of my willpower, I don't feel hungry even when I'm on a diet like this.

Any thoughts on this? I wonder if I have to "make" myself eat more?

Water cooling set

Hey guys, running a i7 930 on with asus p6x58d-e and kingston 3x2ghz 2000mhz t1 hyper x. Current casing is CM690 lite. Anyways, cut to the point. I have been searching and reading on watercooling and after a few days I have finalized on the following items.

CPU block : EK Supreme HF Nickel (This should be fine?)
Pump : Laing D5/ Swiftech MCP 655 (This should be fine as well?)
Radiator: HW Labs Black Ice Xtreme 240mm (Considered the 360mm but dont think I can fit it in somehow?)
Tubes : XSPC 7/16ID - 5/8OD (Radiator barbs are 1/2ID but I want the tubes to fit tight. Or you suggest I switch to 1/2ID tubes?)
Coolant : Distilled water(Feser Aqua) + Biocide from Petra's Tech
Thermal Paste : Arctic Silver 5

Recommendations for items to be replaced can be obtained easily and cheap around the UK I hope (am studying in UK). Or if you guys think this setup is good to go. Im ordering it tomorrow.

Hi, I'm trying to look for casings under Rm 700 for watercooling. Best if it includes holes for me to mount a radiator, and has a lot of space. Other than that, I don't ask for anything else. Any recommendations? Best if I can get them from a UK-based site.

Where should I buy my hardware?

I am going to the UK for studies soon but from what I checked, prices in lowyat are cheaper than prices I can find in Overclockers, Amazon and Play. Is it true that all items are cheaper over here in KL? I'm not sure if I should buy it in the UK or in KL before I leave. UK is more expensive but if I buy in KL I'm also afraid about warranty. Maybe I should buy some main parts in KL and the rest in UK? Suggestions please. Thanks.

Hi, I would like to record myself singing. Let's say I have the karaoke version of the song, is there a software that lets me record my voice + the background music? I can't find a software with that. Most people seem to play out the music and record it again using the microphone, it sounds very weird like that. Any software that plays the background music while recording it and my singing? Thanks.

Question about Strength Training and Complexes

Hi, I am currently aiming to get a toned midsection with visible abs, and also get nicer arms and chest. I went on a low-carb diet (eggs, baked beans, steamed chicken, beef steak, bacon, ham, fruits, veggies, few kinds of nuts) and I drink protein whey pre and post workouts. Basically I am having a 3 day biceps-triceps-chest cycle, twice a week, and resting on Sunday. I work my midsection and back on all days as well.

Thing is, I want to increase my fat burning and there are 2 things I want to add into my training. Badminton and Complexes. For badminton, my question is that too much cardio will burn fat but take away muscles as well (which is clearly not what I want) so how much badminton I can actually play to make sure I'm only burning most of the fat and not eating up my muscles?

Second question is that I read that complexes should be done on off-days or cardio days.I want to add some into my training and I am wondering if I can actually add them into my weight-lifting days? I am afraid that adding them to the weight lifting days will eat up my muscle ( like badminton) and also slow down my muscle building.

Thanks.

G105M / G9650 GT

Hi,as from what I know,G105M is the later graphics together with more technology. So even with 512mb of ram , compared to 1gb in 9650 gt,does it still mean G105M is better? Confused.
