Item(s): TP-Link 4G LTE Mobile Wi-Fi M7200

Package includes: Everything in the box by default with receipt and USB charger. (No Sim card)

Price: RM170 (Brand new was RM249) (!!!NOTICE!!!: Sellers are required to display the exact selling prices of their products. Failure to do so will result in the deletion of the topic)

Warranty: None from ME. Test until happy. Still got receipt from shop. This device was purchased at 28 April 2018 from viewnet, 5 weeks old only. Not sure how long was warranty, but definitely at least 1 year.

Dealing method: COD only.

Location: My place is at Lembah Subang LRT. Can COD any nearby station.

Contact method/details: PM please.
---

Item(s) conditions: New, 5 weeks old only.

Picture: Click link for pic

For specs, Click this link (official site)

Reason for sale: I'll write as much detail as possible so my buyer know what he/shes buying.

1) I used it for only 4G connection, so it became very hot.
2) Battery icon become red for 2 reasons; low power (below 10%) and overheating, can be confusing. (threshold is only 40 C)
3) If you turn it off while the icon is red, you cannot use the device until it's above 10% battery and below 40 C temperature. (However it will not shut down when it is still ON if it exceed 40 C)
4) 8 hours battery life is probably for 3G, not 4G.
5) Lack of important info on the screen such as battery level. All info can be accessed via android apps. (not sure about iOS)

In conclusion, the main reason was the overheating and the unreliability to heat. Put it under a fan, it should work fine.

Warning; it doesn't support Band 5 according to specification, so Unifi Mobile 4G WOULD NOT WORK

Is this a sign that my GPU is dying?

I try to make it as simple and compact as possible.

Using MSI HD6850 for 6 years I think.

Performance -wise, I'm quite happy with it and there is no need to upgrade. Can play Final Fantasy XIV, Overwatch, and Black Desert Online at 60 fps medium setting @1080. (ok maybe not for black desert, but totally playable). And i capped my fps to 60.

Recently I have been having the following symptoms;
1. The display would not display anything when I turn on my PC. It occurs randomly. Sometime it displays, sometime it doesn't. I know the PC is running as my background sound is audible and my keyboard and mouse light is showing. (sometime when i desperately need to use my pc, i would detatch my gpu and use my mobo gpu)
2. My screen would go blank for 1-2 seconds and it's ok again. Sometime it occurs more frequently and gets on my nerve. And no, it doesn't happen when i shake my monitor or any loose cable.

It has 2 DVI, 1 HDMI, 1 DisplayPort. 1 DVI and 1 HDMI cannot be used already.

I tried changing cables, but it doesn't help. Onboard display works perfectly. Tested my monitor with my friend pc, my monitor works perfectly.

I read this article about symptom of GPU dying. Strangely, my PC display doesn't seem to suffer any of these symptoms (stuttering, screen glitches, strange artifacts, blue screens, or fan noise)

So anyone know whats wrong with my GPU/display? Buying new GPU is definitely an option, but that's not why I make this post. If my problem can't be fix, I would at least learn something from it.
Thanks in advance.
Building a C2C E-Commerce

Hello forumers.
I have been assigned by my University to build a social marketplace, or C2C marketplace.

here's how it works;
- I host a marketplace for vendors and users.
- users buy and sell stuff among themselves.
- each transaction will be charged a small fee, probably based on percentage, policy not yet confirmed

After a week or two of research and googling, Sharetribe is the closest to meet my requirement.
Here is a sample

However there is a slight problem. Me, the host will need a paypal account to receive the commission money, and so does all the vendors. It's fine if I need to open paypal, but it will not be fine for the vendors as these vendors are just ordinary people, like how ordinary people would sell their second hand stuff in facebook group.

I am a computer science graduates, but I have not learned anything much about e-commerce in my programme, but having google for a week, I start to understand a bit.

My goal to make it as easy as possible just like the one in the sample. , but with our local payment such as internet banking

Similar site is like Lelong , but vendors are treated like actual vendors, not as end user
Another site is Mudah but it does not not provide payment option.
Basically I'm building Mudah but with local payment option like in Lelong.

Thank you for any constructive response.

Best broadband for Shah Alam to play online game

I hope I'm posting at the right section. I've seen similar post in Kopitiam section but that was like 4 years ago and quality of services change over time.

I'm doing my intern in Shah Alam for half a year, and landline like streamyx or unifi is not an option since it has contract.

Can anyone recommend me which telco is best to play online game in Shah Alam? (Section 3, to be more precise, it if matters)
Latency is most important. Bandwidth not so important. Currently using Celcom postpaid and I was hoping to get a better ping.
I play MMORPG, meaning as much as latency is not as demanding as playing dota2 for example, having the best latency is always good.
I don't care if it's prepaid or postpaid. Most important is latency and consistency. Pricing is second factor.

If celcom is really the best option then I'll just stick to celcom. Thank you in advance for incoming feedbacks

Probex sound card

I bought a Probex PCI sound card for my desktop, but the driver I got from the packaging doesn't work. I went into their website but there is no link to download driver. Actually there is a link but I need to register first and I can't register. If anyone is using the same sound card and is working fine, please help me by sharing the driver. Thanks

My internet goes on and off

i had this problem where my internet connection goes off, on, off, on etc. I made some few investigations before I made this thread. I test ping on www.google.com

here's the result

This results is repeated in like, every 5 minutes? sometimes 10 minutes? Or even an hour. But I can get disconnected anytime, and since I play online games, you probably can imagine how annoying it is.

My 1st suspect was was the ISP. But my housemate is using the same ISP as mine (different account) and he have no problem playing HoN the whole night. We use same type of modem too, the one provided by our ISP. So, I deducted that ISP is not the culprit.

Next, I suspect my computer (OS) getting infected by some unknown entity (computer virus etc). I scan, remove virus, but the same symtoms still there. I even reformat my pc, twice both on XP and Win7, but nothing changes.

So, I suspected probably some hardware problem. I use my laptop, plug the same LAN cable which was connected to my desktop, and wah!! It works fine!!

So, I deduced that the problem originated from my computer (dektop). Modem is fine. so, my suspicion now is my "onboard LAN network". Probably some hardware problem? I'm using ASUS P5Q PRO. If the onboard network is the culprite, then I won't hesitate to buy a new, cheaper motherboard. I won't buy PCI LAN, because I have good reasons to buy a new mobo;

1) This mobo is falling apart. The audio input for mic is ****d up, problem with cpu fan, and onboard LAN (probably). I bought new soundcard just for the mic function (but I might as well use the output function as well )
2) I cannot install nor run a live cd linux, or probably i don't know how. Either way I'm too lazy to find out. (Yes, it has express gate, but it doesn't seem to detect my hard disc drive) Probably will buy non-asus for the damn linux to run.

Anyway, if any pros here know the diagnosis, please help me

My suspect now is the onboard LAN

What's wrong with my GPU?

I've been using Gigabyte 9800GTX for 1 and half years.
During Bios, multiple short verticle line can be seen, especially at the middle of letters.
At Windows startup screen, I see long, green vertical lines. Then cannot enter windows, but only shows variable colors of large pixels.

I tried on my friend's pc. The large pixels only appears after I install the GPU driver. The small vertical line at Bios is still there.

Can anybody diagnosis the problem? What should I do? Is it beyond repair? Please help!!!

Some opinions on my new rig

Planning to buy a new rig

Asus P5Q Pro Motherboard (Intel chipset)
--------Probably go for P5Q Deluxe (thx to tech_frix & kazairol)
Intel Quad Core Q9550
Radeon HD4870
2GB RAM DDR2 1066MHz

I'm not gonna state the Hard Disc, monitor, etc. I think the 4 above is the important component to discuss.

The main reason I take P5Q Pro is of the following reasons;

- Has Splashtop, also known as Express Gate
- Crossfire available for future
- 8 Sata ports, since I'll be installing a lot of Hard Discs.

So, I want your opinion in terms of technical stuff and budget. My budget will the price of the above 4 items.

I don't just use my rig for gamings. I also do some movie editing, watch movie, image editing, 3D software, etc. So, should I really take on Quad Core? What is the pros and cons of Quad core processors?

And some question about Intel chipset motherboard. Is there anything wrong with Intel chipset compared with nforce and amd?

TQ

Some links

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-...ipset,1961.html

http://www.tomshardware.com/news/asus-giga...board,5348.html

http://www.nordichardware.com/news,7749.html

Question regarding PCI-E 2.0

We all know (or maybe some don't) that newer graphics card and motherboard comes with PCI-E 2.0 interface, with I read that it provide twice the bandwodth than it's predecessors. I'm planning to buy a HD4870, but my motherboard is not PCI-E 2.0. Mobo: M2N-SLI DELUXE. Eventhough the letters "SLI" is there, I'm not planning to SLI it. So, if I install a new graphic card into a motherboard that doesn't have pci-e 2.0, will there be a significant reduced in performance compare to newer motherboard which do have pci-e? What should I do?

If PCI-E 2.0 really that important, should I add another RM300 for new motherboard? Btw, my older motherboard is a gaming motherboard, and it is "overclockable". Is it a waste of money if i buy HD4870 while my Mobo does not have pci-e 2.0?

I have a friend using 8800GT on new motherboard performs better than a fellow with 9800GTX on old motherboard. So, does pci-e 2.0 really signifucant factor? TQ

should I upgrade or buy new?

This is my current rig

Mobo: M2N SLI Deluxe
8800GTS 320MB (OC Edition)
AMD Athlon 64 x2 5200+
Corsair 2GB XMS2-6400 (RAM)
6 Hard Disc, 1 of them is a 10000rpm hdd
Lite-On DVD Writer
Prodigy HD2 Sound card
Cooler Master 600W "Extreme" Power

So, my future is divided between two options; (lol this is like playing RPGs)

Option 1

I buy my friend's graphics card which is completely identical to mine and SLI it. I dont know whether my PSU is enough or not. My fren gonna sell me RM500. So my spendings would be RM500 + new PSU - sell my old PSU to friend. If PSU is sufficient, then RM500 is my only spendings.

Option 2

I sell my whole rig, except my monitor, speakers, keyboard, mouse, HDDs, and my precious sound card
My fren agree to buy at rm1600.

I'll buy;

Motherboard: (recommend me one ) just regular non-sli mobo with at least 6 SATA
Processor:	AMD Athlon 64 x2 6000+ (or recomend me a good value for money intel processors)
GPU	:	"ATI Radeon HD4870"
Ram	:	2Gb (what else) btw, recommend me a good RAM. Like my previous one?
PSU	:	(need advice on this one)

As conclusion to my Option 2, I'll gain rm1600. My new hardware would cost approximately rm2000-2200 (izit?) So, overall spendings is rm400-600.

Let me say it again.

Option 1, upgrade to SLI, rm500 is spent
Option 2, buy new one, rm400-600 is spent
Option 3, do nothing (so whats the point of this thread)

So, which option should I pick? If my fren cancelled his bid, i have no choice but to go for opt 1
Is SLI even a good idea to begin with? TQ

I'll be buying at early october.

best software to rip audio cd

Hi guys. I'm newbie here, and im not sure whether im putting this thread at the correct section, neither i know if there are other thread similar to this one. I apologise if there is. Please dont ban me

Anyway, as the title says, what is the best software to rip audio cd into mp3s and flacs? im not doing anything illegal here. I brought the original cds, and want to rip it for my personal use. Currently, im using "Easy CD-DA Extractor". As the name says, it's easy, and provide many tweak to choose from. I don't think sound card play any influence in the quality of ripped music, as i think everything is done "digitally". Sound card & speakers only affect what you here later

I've used Nero, but when I play the music, using winamp, it says the music is like 20minutes, where it should be around 3-4 mins only.

I tried wmp, though i think there other software far better.

I read about EAC. Is it good? Haven't tried. I also haven't tried itune to rip cd. Maybe the software for ripping doesn't affect anything. If that the case, then i'll stick with easy cd-da extractor. I rip to mp3s as many electronic device (phone, mp3 player) supports mp3 only. I rip it to flac to listen onto my computer.

In case you still want the spec of my pc, it's Prodigy HD2 & MX5021. (though i don't think these even matters when ripping right?)

Anyway, a trivia. Since ogg & flac are free, i wonder why many electronic device doesn't support this format. Oh, one last question. Monkey audio is also a lossless format right? Which should i choose from? Monkey or flac?

Please recomend me a good sound card

Like the title said, I'm hoping someone can recommend a good sound card. Here's my criteria

1) I don't use surround sound, so a 2.1 sound card is sufficient.
2) My budget is unlimited, so recommend me the best sound card in the WORLD!!!! (ok ok, maybe not more than 500, but if it's more, I'm willing to spend more for the best.
3) Don't ask about my speaker. Assume I have the best speaker in the world. (2.1 speaker)
4) Purpose? Well, what else to be use with a sound card but play games (hardcore), watch movies, listen to music, & watch animes.
5) I'll be purchasing it around 5 - 20 April 2008.
6) I don't have any hatred on specific brand. Recommend me the best.

Anyway, I'm a malaysian student studying abroad (India), and the gadget there is not so good. Now I'll be in Malaysia, I better use this chance to buy the best hardware out of malaysia. Anyway, I hope u guys can help me.

I heard there a sound card that specialised in certain things, such as for listen music purpose, use this sound card. for gaming, use this. etc....
If there are one card for all, it will be nice. If not, u can recommend me multi card. Like i said, no limit to my budget.
