Perkeso "Invalidity Scheme" for widow? Question!

Hi, my father recently passed away. He was being paid a little bit of pension money a month from PERKESO, under the 'invalidity scheme' pension.

My late father got say my mother is able to continue receiving this pension, at 100%, and the website itself stated it here:

Just now I was at the office and they said because I am over 21, my mother can only get 60% from the total.

Is this true? Can I argue that my mother should get 100% as per the website? (stated both in Malay and Eng).

Will be really grateful for any expert advice here.

Woman jailed 80 months for scamming ppl RM5k

This happened to me 2 years ago. The guy scammed me rm6666 (didnt deliver any appliances). i made a police report and made him sign an agreement to pay me back in 3 months (even got stamp duty chop) but he didn't honour the agreement.

he paid me back a bit but still left 5500 left. i ask him to pay monthly rm500, even rm100, EVEN rm50, but he did not bother, yet keep delay and say next month etc.

what can i do?

i want to see this asshole in jail...

Neighbours smoking every 30 min from 7am to 11pm

Hi all, I stay in a condo in KL, newly move in. The neighbour below is husband and wife, with 2 teenage children.

They work from home and smoke like chimney at balcony from around 7am to 11pm, every 20-30 min...

Their smoke enters my unit kaw kaw when I have the balcony open. OK, I can close the balcony door so there's no more smoke. But... My air con compressors are located at balcony too, so whenever I on aircon, the compressor will have to filter their smoke too. [edit: aircon compressors don't filter outdoor air!]

I bought this condo with hard earned money and reno it kaw kaw, even bought it for the balcony so I can chill there with plants and table/chairs. But this husband and wife also loves chilling at balcony especially during sunrise/sunset when the view is the best, to smoke kaw kaw...

I know, some ppl will say I am unlucky, just have to move out. I tried to talk to them before I move in, ask them about their smoking habits... they didn't believe their smoke came into my unit. They asked me to close my balcony door coz it's better, less dusty... but what about my aircon compressors, or clothes that are hanging out to dry? Will kena their smoke smells.

This is not 2-3 times a day of smoke, it's 20 times a day.

Sifu sifu all, what choices would I have? Talk to the condo management, they say I have to tell them in a friendly way that their habits are affecting my life. My parents stay with me sometimes and my father has medical issues. But these neighbours macam won't quit, and don't want to smoke in their house coz "they don't want their teenage children to smell the smoke".

If it was you guys, what would you do? What can I do?

Scammer knows my address, threatens violence

HELP! What should I do! This scammer dude did not get what he wants from me (money) and is now harassing me often.

Chronology of events involving multiple scammers:

CHEAT ME MONEY.

1. Around Aug 2020 I purchased electrical items (aircons, fridge, washing machine) from "Scammer A", someone who was recommended to me by a resident in the condo Whatsapp groups (and 6-7 residents got together to buy from him for "bulk discount"). He asked me to bank in money to him to get the good price (maybe 20% cheaper than other shops). I was stupid and transferred 100% to him (as he kept requesting more — with excuse like "supplier need more $$, bank in by 7pm to get this special rate or not I will need to charge you more". Total amount is around RM7,000. I thought, if he's recommended, what could be wrong with him?

2. He did not deliver those items to me, even after weeks of rescheduling (waste my freaking time).

3. A few condo ppl kena from him (no deliveries), keep fong fei kei and reschedule — stupid reasons like got police block, got accident, driver MIA, supplier ran away etc.

4. We knew he was a scammer d. We demanded him to refund our money. But after weeks, he did not refund a single cent.

5. The four victims including me, went to the police. "Scammer A" signed a Debt Settlement Agreement, in which he will agree to pay us back the money in 3 instalments. He paid two of the victims, but not me and another person.

6. Fast forward Feb 2022, he has paid me only a bit, still owe me RM6,000. I kind of give up. Stupid $@#!&$(!&% scammer, drove big cars all the time. So angry think about him. Dunno what he used my money for. Big car rentals, so he can scam others into thinking that he's a successful boss? Anyway...

NOW COMES THE SCARY PART.

7. Around Feb 28 2022, I called Scammer A's phone, coz it was a different userpic (some victims said it's a diff person using it). It sounded like some young ah beng. I will call him "Scammer B".

8. After some chats, "Scammer B" asked me to text him at another number, he said many people are looking for Scammer A through the other number (Scammer A's original num).

9. Scammer B claimed he is Scammer A's brother, and said he is aware of the situation and as a family member he wants to pay the victims back. He said he has sent Scammer A to Thailand so he won't harm others here for the time being. He said I was the 9th person he will 'settle the debts for'. But he said I needed to prove I was real and not "trying to SCAM him".

10. Being foolishly desperate I sent him a copy of the debt agreement form with Scammer A which contained my IC and address... (MY BIGGEST STUPIDEST MISTAKE HERE).

11. Scammer B said he is ready to bank in the money to me, RM6000. But I needed to give him RM500 first to "make sure I was sincere". The bank account was a weird name. He said it was his employee's account. At first I was excited at the prospects of getting my money back finally after so long and even bargained to RM300 first. Thinking back, this is purely a BS move and is classic scamming nonsense.

12. Scammer B sent me a pic of a hand holding a few thousand ringgit... lol. And also a pic of a bank lol... I asked him to do a video call to prove he's there. Then he sent me a video of a construction site claiming he's at work. I knew he was 100% a scam.

13. I googled the bank he showed, and saw the same picture he sent me in the google image search, and sent it back to him. This made him get VERY ANGRY. Coz I pecah his lobang.

14. I deleted the graphics which included my address, but he sent me the same graphics and said "You think I am so stupid? I now have your address, I am going to see you real soon, you wanna play with me, now you have your chance" etc.

15. He started sending aggressive expletive voice messages nonstop, threatening to meet me coz I was "trying to lie to him, scam him". He really sounded crazy and unstable, different from the calm voice of "the rich brother who wants to help the victims".

16. To calm him down, and out of hopelessness, I tried to play some reverse psychology thing. I told him, "Yea I understand it's hard to earn money now, not easy to live, I understand how difficult it can be for you, I will give you RMXX for you to makan etc, just don't kacau me anymore after that". He then told me yes he has not worked for months, etc, and he wanted more money from me. I said I could only give him RMXX. He wants it transfered to his account asap.

17. Friends told me that if I gave him RMXX for yamchar money, he will keep on looking for me in the future. So I decided to ignore him....

18. Knowing that he will not get RMXX from me, his anger resurfaced and continued to leave threatening messages, location pins near my house address, etc. Friends said this is him trying to scare me...

19. I blocked him.

20. He started texting from another number. I blocked this second number. And then a third number came out with threats. At this point I was so, so so stressed and freaked out.

21. I went to the police station. The Sergeant there called Scammer B. He sounded angry and defensive, he said there are people lying to him, out there trying to scam him, etc. The Sergeant invited him to the police station, but he didn't want to come.

22. After that, there was only one SMS from Scammer B, who said he wants to meet me at the police station coz I have been a liar and a cheat to him. I ignored it. No more messages since.

23. The day after, I got a OTP request on my phone. Could he be trying to hack my bank accounts? I don't think he's so smart. But that kind of shook me. I asked the police if there was any visits from him, he said no, ignored the calls from the station.

24. 2 days after (tonight), I got a miss call from him from one of his 'extra numbers'. I ignored it. And then I wrote this post.

I hope he will never contact me again but I am a bit worried about him knowing my address. I have informed the guards about this but the worst thing is, I don't know Scammer B's real identity. I don't want to ask Scammer A about it either (don't want to complicate the situation).

Admit I was gullible and not cautious. Now I am paying the price.

I hope none of you will get trapped by these assholes ever in your life. It is mental torture.

[EDIT — YES I have made police report and followed up with a lengthy interview with the investigative Sergeant in the Crimes Dept at IPD PJ and have passed all evidence I can to them incl. bank details and tel numbers.)

New toilet flushes weirdly

Hi, I recently installed a sit toilet, from the previous squat toilet.

There is a problem when it flushes. The water collectively COMES UP near the brim of the toilet, then is quickly sucked down, creating a big gargling noise... The one upstairs flushes fine... everything stays at the bottom, it doesn't all flow up to the brim before it is sucked down...

I am just worried that this sort of behaviour is gross when big business is done. Imagine floaters coming up near the brim, nearly overflowing! Afraid some remnants will be around after everything is 'sucked down'...

My contractor says it has to do with some S-Trap thing, that the manhole ( ? ) is too short... and it would be very hard to rectify this... have to dig into the bottom (meaning have to re-hack the tiles, etc).

I suppose there is no way to fix this... just that I don't have a good explanation for this from the contractor. Anyone here experience the same ordeal, after converting a squat toilet system to a sitting one? Is there any way to change this easier/

The model is a Johnson Suisse Como single flush.

Cast-in-situ Terrazzo

Hello, anybody here know of any contractors or companies that do cast-in-situ terrazzo? Meaning it's laid on site, not put together as tiles, so there is no joint, just one surface...

Saw some fancy places, including some architectural houses in Country Heights Damansara using it... beautifully modern and timeless at the same time. I know www.designerfinish.com.my does this, but it's RM30 per square feet... Apparently there are some that go as low as RM12 psf.

Any contacts or leads?
