Problem with Sony Ericsson W200i

My W200i is barely one and a half months old and it already has a problem. It will play only a few M4A files in succession before it gives the message, "playback failed". Switched to MP3 file then back to MP4, problem cured for a short while, then happens again. Switch again, same thing happens, but this time all files cannot be read and phone has to be restarted. Rinse and repeat.

Sent to dealer (phone is AP), idiot at the counter said that AAC (which Sony Ericsson says is supported) and M4A are two different formats and insisted that I put in files of the wrong format. He is wrong - AAC is the encoding scheme for creating audio files, M4A is the file created from this scheme.

So what should I do? Help much appreciated.
