Unable to run Dual-Channel Mode using gigabyte GA-

Hi sirs,

Of late, my friend bought a PC, with spec of gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 with Conroe E6300 and 2X512 Corsair DDR-2 667Mhz RAM.

But the thing goes weird when installing the RAM in Dual Channel Mode (1st and 3st slot). The windows installation would always be stalled and never completed. It would only be succeed if he slotted the RAM on first and second, without DC feature.

I would like to know what induces the problem? Obsolete of BIOS driver? RAM problem or gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 board itself?

Any opinion is welcomed. Thanks in advance.
