Question on sub-sale Deed Of Assignment process

Hi all,

Currently in the midst of a sub-sale purchase. Early March 2013, my bank(purchaser's bank) dispersed the first amount of the loan to the vendor's financier.

Last update from my SPA lawyer - pending the Deed of Receipt & Reassignment(DRR) from the vendor's financier in order to proceed with processing/stamping the Deed of Assignment(DOA). Need some advice on :

1) What is the typical timeframe to complete the processing & stamping of the DOA once the DRR has been received?

2) How long can this be delayed legally? (As I have just started serving the loan)

Appreciate your help guys.

Help with Tax

Hi All,

I'd like some confirmation on the following, as I've asked around but opinions have been abit contradicting at some points. Appreciate your help

If an employee's monthly income is RM2.5k a month/ RM30k a year, this amount is not taxable because there are no PCB cuts. After the monthly EPF deduction (11%), the net salary received is rougly RM2.2k, around RM2212.
Basically I'd like to know, at what point does the income tax start charging? When the yearly income > RM30k?
And does the monthly deduction ( PCB - potongan cukai bulanan) get calculated after deducting the EPF or its based on gross salary?
e.g. Annual gross income = RM33,600 / monthly gross income = RM2800

a) (33600 - EPF) x income tax rate
b) 33600 x income tax rate

Proton waiting period

Hi all,

I've recently placed a booking on Feb 27th for a new Satria Neo at Proton Edar. Initially, I was told that Proton's standard guideline is to provide the new car within two months. Since I placed a booking/paid the deposit etc, the salesperson there has been pushing for the car to come as soon as possible.

About a week plus to 2 weeks after booking, the loan process was all completed and approved and the bank sent the papers to the dealer to sign.
I understand that the papers are to be signed upon the car arriving so they can match the chassis number etc etc to the loan papers.
Its entering week 5 now, and as of last week the only commitment/deadline the salesperson can give me is Proton is telling them that the car will come by the end of the month. I've been pushing the salesperson, calling 3-4 times a week to get updates on this. His reasoning is that Proton will not commit a date and because of that, they also cannot tell when exactly the car is coming.

I am abit concerned as a month has passed now, if Proton's commitment is to provide the car within 2 months then it should be reasonable for them to be able to provide a date as in within this week, next week, or the following. Anyone can provide any update on this? as I searched but couldn't find anyone who purchased a new Satria Neo recently. Basically I'm just worried because if they continue to insist giving a "end of the month" deadline, and I wait till then but still no news/some other excuse, then it aint worth the wait.

Car Loan

Hi, I've tried searching thru this forum but I couldn't find anything relevant regarding this.

Would like to know, I've recently booked a Satria Neo from a Proton Edar outlet, and the loan has been approved by the bank. The car has yet to arrive so the loan papers have not been signed as the car chassis number etc has to be assigned to the loan papers before signing.
They have recently promised the car to arrive within a month, but today Proton themselves have liased with the dealer (proton edar) and can not give any commitment on when the car is due to arrive. Only estimation they can give is by next month, April.

I want to know if its possible to transfer my loan to another car from another Proton dealer, given I am able to source from the other dealer that they have a car or can get the car faster. I believe logically this is possible as I have not signed anything, and the loan will still apply to the exact same car only from a different dealer. What is the procedure needed for this? I also understand the loan papers will be sent to my current dealer. So do I go over and collect the papers and then proceed to another dealer?
Does the bank need to be notified of this?
