My friend is a fruit/vegetable grower. They will plant new crop after each harvest.
The current market price for brinjal sells in wet market is minimally rm 6/kg in local wet market.
however, the wholesale price offered to the grower is just max rm2/kg.

People always promise a good pricing before harvesting, but when the time comes, they lowball 99.
could this be the reason why the middleman is so rich yet the grower prospective is not as good as them.
they are the one working hard on the ground yet not getting the same reward.
how would you counter this kind of scenario?
is this normal?

as per the topic .
my friend recently acquired a plot of 20 acres land for palm oil plantation which cost around 2mil myr. 1 acre is about 110k.
the owner will need to plough the land for replantation of palm oil which mean the land produce 0 income for at least next 3 years.
just wondering is this a smart choice to invest that much of money in plantation land?

the other friend of mine is looking for a partner to buy up another plot of 10 acres land for almost ~1.2mil for palm oil plantation too.
however my cousin said the return is better in doing business than palm oil plantation.
posting here to seek for some advice who has experience in the 2 fields.

scam tactic at bus terminal

just some sharing here among /k.
yesterday when i was at larkin terminal. i was approached by a middle age chinese male with his police report on his missing ic and wallet.
he told me to buy him a bus ticket for him to go back to pg .he told me that his sister will transfer money back to me
i actually gave him rm100 all the ticket were sold out and the price for the ticket he claimed is RM. he told me he had to go to tun aminah bus station to take another bus to penang.
we exchanged phone number.
after 12 hours . he remains uncontactable.
haiz..too young to naive.

Update on 23th Oct 10AM.
Have been chasing him to return me money since saturday morning. Received a watapps voice message that he will return me on tuesday after he renew his IC.
He then gave me a call that he need another RM100 from me . this time round for hostel payment.
I straight away rejected and told him to return my money asap without listening too much of his story.
bus ticket want me pay hotel also want me .i wont be surprised later he ask me pay for jiken he sleeps too.

He gave me this number .

End of the day cognac is my liking.i guess i will stop buying any whisky liao.
am i too young too naive to think that whisky can beat cognac or i shall try more expensive whisky?
this is the first time i try a glenlivet 18 years old sherry cask , after finished my glenlivet 15.
18 is much more mellow to drink in neat.
personally i find whisky dont have the floral fragrance like the cognac does.taste is a bit dull in comparison.
