Can i install Vista & XP in the same laptop?

I bought a laptop which come together with the Window Vista Home Basic. But is can't support my software like Solidwork.

Can i Install Window XP to my same laptop without deleting the Vista?

How to set VPI to "0" permanently in router?

I have changed my switch to a router (model: D-Link DSL-2640T), However I dunno how to set the VPI to "0" in the router setting. Everytime i set and save it to "0", it will become "8" again when i shut down my pc and restart.

Anyone can teach me on how to set the VPI to "0" permanently?

Internet Connection using Switch

I have purchased a switch (Model: ZyXEL ES-108A) as recommended by the salese person, to make a Internet connection for my two PC at home.

anyhow, my fren told me that I should buy a router, NOT a switch.

Any idea how to make a such connection using the switch? need some guidance...please help.
