Active Subwoofer

Hi guys,

I need some information here. Can the perdana stock sound system be hooked up to an Active Subwoofer?

The subwoofer requires power from the battery, and input from the head unit only. But I am not entirely familiar with the perdana head unit so hopefully someone here can help me out?

Hi guys/gals,

Is there anyone in here familiar with Finite State Process (FSP)?
I am having problems with this FSP "language" to model a system. Been working on a solution for close to two weeks now without much progress

Can someone clarify for me what does the syntax " || " actually does? I know it's called parallel composition but need a better explanation to it.

Since this FSP does not permit the "parsing" of information, how do I go about setting the states for an object and relating it to the conditions?

ID Formatting (Extract and Store in Database)

Hi all,

I've been spending some time trying to figure out this problem but can't seem to get to the bottom to solving it. I'm running short of time and would appreciate some guidance on this issue.

What I am trying to do is have formatting for login IDs. In this case, say MH000001. The problem right now is that, If say the database has the following records:

MH000001
MH000002
MH000003
MH000004
MH000005

how do I obtain the last number on the database and format it into "MHxxxxxx"?

Or there isn't any way around it besides doing a count through SQL Statement and using the result from the count + 1 as the next login ID?

Driving Into Singapore

Hi,

I recall a thread on the above topic but did a search and I guess it might have been purged.

Either way, if I'll be driving into Singapore for the first time and will be driving in on weekdays.. so what do i need to bring along and what do i need to know? (besides keeping to the speed limits ) I've done some reading at the Visit Singapore website but am still slightly confused.

1. Where do I apply for the Autopass?
2. What documents is required to apply the Autopass?

3. VEP is SGD 20 per day on Weekdays (0200 - 1700Hrs)
Question is: Does it mean that if my car is parked at the hotel and not doing any driving in Singapore, I'll still have to pay for the daily charges?

4. "From 1 June 2005, all drivers of foreign registered cars and motorcycles can drive into Singapore for a maximum of 10 days in each calendar year without paying VEP fees.

After the 10 VEP free days have been utilised, VEP fees for subsequent days are chargeable if you continue to use or drive your foreign-registered car or motorcycle during VEP operating hours." Quote from LTA Singapore

I'm wondering if there's anybody here or their friends/relatives that had manage to sell their hyundai accent. How much did they manage to sell it and did you/they sell the car to a direct-owner through advertisements or trade-in to a used car dealer for another car?

I'm curious of the demand in the used car market for a 2nd hand hyundai accent.

General Information

If you're looking for a car that is very efficient when it comes to fuel, then look no further as I-DSI would fit your option very well. The I-DSI has good low to mid-range torque.

If you're looking for a car that has better power, and don't mind the slightly higher fuel consumption compared to I-DSI, then you should check out the VTEC model. The VTEC has good mid to hi-range torque.

Honda City's Fuel Tank is 42 litres. Both models I-DSI and VTEC has the steermatic control (7-speed manual/auto shifting on the steering).

My opinion on the issue regarding power:

I'd like to talk about this power / horsepower issue on the I-DSI that has often given it quite a rough image that it would be underpowered compared to other cars of the same displacement.

The City packs quite a lot of technology within it and thus the I-DSI although it's engines rated horsepower is 88hp, it will still be good. Why? What's important is the amount of power/torque transferred to the wheels. As we all know, not all the power from the engine gets transferred due to power loss due to the airconditioner, transmission, steering and all that. Now, this is why the power on the I-DSI and VTEC is good.

The City has Electronic Power Steering (EPS) meaning it is non-hydraulic (no fluid ) and that has saved quite a good amount of power loss. The City also has a CVT transmission that is without a torque converter which means, less power loss again. Some of you may have experienced your City rolling back on a slope and power taking a while to be transferred, and this is the reason why. No torque converter. Two of these factors itself reduces quite a good amount of horsepower to be transferred from the engine to the wheels.

Toyota Vios, Nissan Sentra, Hyundai Accent, Perodua Myvi, and many others comes with conventional auto gearboxes and hydraulic steerings. and thus takes up quite an amount of horsepower from the engine.
